It's a gym for all sorts of athletes. The whole place is kept clean and very hygienic. Plenty private parking. Group classes are great, the trainers are extremely qualified.
The best gym in Honduras
Great place. Just plan accordingly when carrying stuff. You have to put your bag in a locker. Gets crowded at times. Track floor is having the floor re-done. It's dripping on the weight room on the mean time. I will update as changes happen. Everything else is nice. Going back for sure.
Very dissapointing. I moved to Honduras from Miami for 6 months and decided to give this gym a try. It took forever to sign up, only one unfriendly person at the desk having a 25 minute conversation about the water in the pool with someone else when all I needed was a quick signup. After I finally signed up I found myself paying a luxury gym premium like my gym in Miami; Powerhouse $120/month for outdated first generation Life Fitness and Arsenal Strength equipment which decreases your fitness goals/results. No state-of-the-art equipment like Precor, Cybex or Nautilus. I could not even find soap in the showers; I was told “bring your own”. No towel service, was also told “bring your own”. The sauna is on only a few inaccessible hours a day which was the most inconvenient thing for me because in the entire time I had my subscription I was never able to use it, every time I tried I was told “is not on at this hour”. The sauna should be on at all times the gym is open. As a body builder I lift very heavy weights so I need a sauna session afterwards to reduce the muscle soreness the next day. No reception/sitting area, nowhere to sit if you have to unwind after working out or no waiting area in case you have someone picking you up. The ac is not always on, they turn it off randomly during the hot day, they open the windows and let fans run. The last floor stays always warm which made me sweat a lot. When I was lifting heavy weights in a chest assisted machine I was told by a rep not to let the weight go abruptly in the last rep because the machine deteriorates.. Is a gym, assisted machines are meant to be used like this… This is NOT a gym for bodybuilders, only one small floor for upper body with first generation equipment, only one incline chest, one decline chest and inconsiderate people think is their private gym using multiple equipment at the same time which made it very difficult to workout. Whoever designed this had the idea to put both weight racks next to each other so to put the weight back you will have to walk to the other side of the room with the heavy weights in hand because equipment weight racks remain full, I had a 20 lbs weight fall on my feet because of this. This gym would be at most $10 in Florida (planet fitness) and you would at least see soap in showers and latest generation life fitness equipment. Views are nice, other than that ive been trying all gyms in Teguz and I’ve prefferred equinox corporate for now.
