Gym Navigator is free to use and always has been. Running a directory of more than 32,000 gyms costs money, so this page explains exactly where that money comes from, in plain terms, before you click anything.

Advertising

We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Those ads are served by Google, not chosen by us, and we are paid for impressions and clicks. We do not control which advertisers appear, and an ad appearing next to a gym listing says nothing about that gym.

Affiliate Links

Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same as it would be had you gone to the retailer directly.

Affiliate links appear mainly in two places:

• Equipment recommendations in our exercise guides and workout content
• Gear mentioned in training plans generated by Gym Navigator Coach

Every affiliate link is marked with rel="sponsored" in the page source, and any block of affiliate recommendations carries a visible note saying so. You should never have to guess whether a link earns us money.

Programs We Participate In

Gym Navigator is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and its international storefronts.

We may also participate in other affiliate networks covering fitness equipment, supplements, and gym membership services. This page is updated when a program is added.

What This Does Not Affect

This is the part that matters most, so it gets its own heading rather than a footnote.

• Gym listings are never paid placements. Every gym in our directory is listed because it exists, not because anyone paid us. Gyms cannot buy a listing, buy a higher position, or buy the removal of a review.
• Ratings and reviews come from public data. They are sourced from third-party services including Google Places and are not edited to favour anyone.
• Search and browse results are not influenced by commissions. Ordering is based on location, data completeness and relevance.
• We recommend gear we would use. If a cheaper product is the better answer, we say so. A recommendation that only exists because it pays better is worthless to you and, over time, worthless to us.

Prices and availability shown for any product are accurate as of the date and time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on a retailer's site at the time of purchase applies to that purchase. We do not control retailer pricing.
