Universal Gym - Gym in Somerton VIC, Australia

I've been going to Universal Gym for about 2 years now and it's one of the best gyms in terms of size of facility, availability and range of equipment and the owners are super nice. I love training here and will continue to do so but I must say the toilet situation over the last year or so has been very bad. The men's toilet is down to one urinal with an out of order urinal remaining unfixed for a very long time. The toilet smells like stale piss and shit and often projects into the gym to a fair distance. I often feel sorry for the ladies walking to the women's toilet as I'm sure they can smell it too. It's not a hard fix either, go to Amazon buy a bucket of 'piss disks' for $50 and place them all around the toilet and urinals and the smell will go. Or get one of those wall mounted automatic spray dispensers. If the gym can fix this issue, it's one of the best gyms around.

I've been going to Universal Gym for about 4 years now, and it's honestly one of the best gyms I've been to. The place is really spacious with heaps of machines, so you rarely have to wait for anything. The crowd is great too - friendly and motivating without being overbearing. It's got a good vibe overall and makes working out something I actually look forward to.

I recently visited Universal Gym and had a fantastic experience overall. The facilities are clean, the staff is friendly and professional, and the variety of equipment available meets all my fitness needs. However, there are a couple of areas that could use some improvement. The water dispenser needs to be fixed, as it was not functioning properly during my visit. Additionally, some of the equipment is old and rusty and should be replaced to ensure a safe and pleasant workout experience. Despite these minor issues, I would still highly recommend Universal Gym for anyone looking for a great place to work out.

Gym is good (inside) heaps of machines. Toilets are filthy would never shower in them. Front entrance looks terrible. Weeds and long grass all the time. Would have stayed there but other than gym that's all that's offered. Other gyms are getting a sauna/ice baths. O

Be warned: they do not respect customers enough to reply to any messages. They have no website, never respond to email, never respond on instagram. Very difficult to cancel your membership. Plus they bill you an extra $30 with no documentation and of course impossible to get a response from them. Do not recommend. Better to go somewhere run by more competent people.
