Grand Hotel in Porto Cervo

Nice pool and pretty grounds. Rooms clean but tired and dated. Breakfast ok but food not always replaced. When its windy they will not use parasols so no shade around the pool. Beach is lovely but sunbeds very expensive as is the beach club. On site restaurant always empty! Really need a car as quite a trek to restaurants and taxis fairly expensive, this not stated on website. If you walk, the road is unlit and no path until you get to the adjacent hotel. Shuttle service ok but you can book and then anyone can just turn up and take your place, reception staff just said this is fine, you can wait 30 mins until shuttle returns. Evening bar staff great, good cocktails and local spirits and other drinks.
