Bls Recert - Gym in USA, United States

New York, United States

Let's clear this up in the first sentence: this listing isn't a gym. It's a CPR and BLS certification course on Springfield Boulevard in Queens Village, New York, tied to the website cprblscourse.com. The Google category field comes through empty, the title is blank, and every single review is about taking a Basic Life Support class, not about lifting or cardio. So if you landed here looking for a place to work out, this isn't it. But there's real, useful consumer information buried in these reviews, so I'll pull it out for you.

What people are actually reviewing

BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification is a requirement for nurses, healthcare students, and plenty of other workers, and it expires, which is why one reviewer describes being "a repeating customer." The reviews here consistently describe a hands-on certification class with an instructor, physical practice props, a written exam, and a card at the end. That's the product. Not a membership. A course you take, pass, and leave with proof of.

What the reviews agree on

Three themes repeat. First, scheduling flexibility. An August 2021 review from a working nursing student says the instructor "has classes available 6 days a week at different times" and "is very understanding that life gets in the way." The listing's hours back this up: 7:00 to 21:30, seven days a week. That's the sort of range that makes recertification actually doable around a job.

Second, the teaching style. Reviewers describe a full sensory approach: "He shows the video via flat screen TV and demonstrates on the physical props for both audio and visual learning. He then have you practice for physical learning." A June 2024 reviewer with "8 years of hospital experience" called the instructor "the first one who empowered his students."

Third, speed. A November 2025 review sums up the recurring praise: "He didn't waste any time and got straight to the point, which I really appreciated." Several reviews mention getting a temporary card on-site and the official e-card by email the next day.

What that 5.0 is really measuring

The perfect 5.0 rests on only 11 ratings, so read it as a small, consistently satisfied group rather than a huge verdict. One detail even helps explain the warmth: a reviewer mentions the instructor "provides quarters for meter parking if you don't have any." Small kindnesses like that generate five-star reviews, and there's nothing wrong with that, but it's worth knowing the sample is tiny.

What's missing

No review states the course price or which certifying body (American Heart Association or otherwise) issues the card, which is the one thing you must confirm, because your employer or school may only accept a specific provider. Call +1 347-636-6370 before you book.

Mr Mendonca was very interactive and enthusiastic about what he teaches. In my 8 years of hospital experience he was the first one who empowered his students and you can tell he loves what he does.

Instructor was extremely friendly and professional. He displays great communication skills, promptness and overall professionalism. The class was both educational and informative, however, it wasn't time consuming. The instructor makes you feel very comfortable and encourages you to ask questions so that he could be of help. I would definitely recommend this class to family and friends.

Mr. Valson has been my instructor for every BLS/AED certification. I'm a repeating customer because as a nursing student who is also working, he has classes available 6 days a week at different times. He is very understanding that life gets in the way and sometimes people show up late. He even provides quarters for meter parking if you don't have any. As for the class, he keeps the AC on so everyone is comfortable. He provides handouts and pens for writing and highlighting. He shows the video via flat screen TV and demonstrates on the physical props for both audio and visual learning. He then have you practice for physical learning. In the end he does a review and you take your exam. You get a temporary card on site and he emails you the E card the next day.

I did a BLS cpr class and instructor was very welcoming and nice. Also very funny and had great stories. Overall he made the class simple and easy. I will be coming back the next time I have to renew my CPR card.
