First, a correction that saves you a wasted search: Domaine du Mont Hulin isn't a gym. The listing types and every review describe a rural guesthouse and event venue in Villers-Vermont, France - a bed-and-breakfast that hosts weddings and family gatherings. If a fitness search dropped you here, the map made a mistake. But the reviews carry real, usable detail for anyone considering a stay, so here's what they actually say.

What this place actually is

The address is 9 Rue du Mont Hulin, and the hosts are named Eric and Virginie in the reviews. La chambre, les sanitaires et la salles de bain sont propres" - the estate is superb, vast, calm, and surrounded by nature; the room, toilets, and bathroom are clean (translated from French). The same guest added that the building is "dans le jus des annees 90," meaning it keeps a 1990s feel, which they framed as charming rather than dated.

Where the voices agree, and one honest caveat

Warm hosting is the loudest theme. A March 2026 guest wrote, "Merci Eric pour cet accueil si chaleureux et ces repas maison delicieux" - thank you Eric for such a warm welcome and these delicious home-cooked meals (translated from French). Home cooking comes up more than once, which is a concrete plus.

But the review I'd point you to is the 3-star from October 2025, because it's specific about who this suits. The guest booked "pour debuter un week-end en amoureux" - to start a romantic weekend - and concluded it "convient davantage pour un bon moment convivial a passer en famille plutot qu'a un moment intime entre amoureux" - it suits a convivial family time more than an intimate couples' getaway (translated from French). They found the host's warmth possibly "trop presente," too present, called the decor stuck in the 1980s, and noted the estate "gagnerait beaucoup a avoir la salle d'eau et les toilettes dans la chambre" - would gain a lot from having the bathroom and toilet inside the room (translated from French). Read together with the April 2026 review that praised clean facilities, I get a clear picture: the plumbing may not be ensuite, and the vibe is sociable, not secluded.

What that 4.7 measures

With 139 ratings, this is a large sample, so 4.7 is a stable number. The written reviews lean strongly positive on hosting and setting, with the recurring qualifier being the dated decor and the room layout. An April 2025 English review captured the appeal for a specific traveler: "An incredible welcoming place for any vaners was looking for something different" - so van travelers seem to like it too.

What's missing

No review lists a nightly rate, and since this is lodging, not a gym, there's no training equipment to describe at all. If you found this page hunting for a workout, the useful fact is simply that there isn't one here. For a stay, the open question is whether your room has a private bathroom, which one guest flagged as not guaranteed. Confirm that at +33 6 82 81 41 05 before booking.

Who it's not for

Anyone looking to exercise - wrong venue entirely. And couples wanting total privacy may find the hands-on hosting and shared conviviality more than they want, per that candid 3-star note.
