Solace Day Spa And Wellness Centre

I booked a $235 spa day with multiple services at Solace Day Spa and, while the space was clean and comfortable, the experience fell short of expectations. I arrived a few minutes early and it appeared the therapist was arriving at the same time. The spa was dark and not set up, which was disappointing - especially since the confirmation email encourages guests to arrive early to enjoy a beverage and relaxation time. No beverage, robe, or blanket was offered at any point. The timing and flow of services felt inefficient and disconnected for a two-hour booking. The massage was fair and relaxing, and the hot stones helped, but overall the experience felt both rushed and delayed. I receive spa services regularly and have had difficulty finding a spa that consistently delivers both quality massage and facial services. Unfortunately, this visit left me wanting more. For the price point, I expected better preparation, hospitality, and execution.

My masseuse walked in with me. We were 15 early, but she was not prepared. She started my massage 25 minutes after my original start time. I scheduled the massage and facial combo. It was supposed to be a 90 min appointment, I was on the table for one hour. I was also supposed to received. a foot scrub, but did not receive that because I was told later that I was pregnant, which is fine, but that was not communicated upfront. I also got an extra charge for prenatal even though I was on my belly the whole time & nothing additional. I spoke to the manager and they credited me just for an hour service, but it took about a week to receive it after reaching out multiple times to the manager. Over all it was a disappointing visit.

Came in for a couples massage, left scheduling a massage elsewhere. They didn't massage the front of my legs, my thighs, or my feet at all. The areas I asked for focus on were barely addressed. Was supposed to be deep tissue but the pressure was inconsistent and never more than firm. There was zero technique and the massage was very all over the place. The therapist never told me their name. The table was also too high for the therapists height, I would suggest they invest into hydraulic tables. I receive massage regularly and this is the first time I've ever received a massage and was excited for it to be over. I feel bad my partner wasted the money without reading the reviews. Editing since it's not giving the option to respond to you. No one was rude to your staff. I asked for more pressure and did not receive any. I curiously asked the therapist how long they've been massaging because the lack of technique leads me to believe they're a new graduate, to which they then said "do the skills match the years" and I didn't respond because if I don't have anything nice to say then I don't say anything at all. After our service the other therapist asked if we enjoyed our massage to which I just silently shook my head no. I specified that I wanted a full body massage and mentioned my areas of focus. We did not receive the service we were promised and we won't be back.

Rescheduled me with an unexperienced massage therapist, but did not inform me that they were picking somebody so different. And charged me more than what my original services would've costed. When I got to check out, I was charged differently than what I was told. I have also reached out to the owner and have not heard anything. Honestly, extremely overpriced for what I received, Poor communication skills and lack of experience on the providers part The atmosphere felt very awkward...
