Read the one-star before the five-stars

Plenty of gyms score 4.5. Fewer come with a review this detailed about what goes wrong. A July 2019 member dropped from three stars to one after dealing with the company, not the club: "Those in charge in upper management(Jason) do not return calls, very unprofessional so far. The customer service line states they have no way of contacting others in the corporate office." The same person is careful, though, and I respect that - they split the blame cleanly: "The staff are fantastic and very friendly," but "The pool situation is horrendous, they need dedicated lap swimming lanes for those actually wishing to train."

Why lead with the complaint? Because it's the thing you can't see on a tour. Friendly front-desk staff are obvious in five minutes. Whether corporate returns your call when a billing or membership problem lands is exactly the risk you're signing up for, and one detailed reviewer is warning you about it. That doesn't make it universal - it's one voice - but it's a specific, checkable warning, and I'd ask about cancellation and billing support before you join. My advice: get the answer in writing.

What this place actually is

Not a lean weight room. The types on this listing include yoga, sauna, spa, and pool, and the reviews confirm a full health club. A September 2019 member described "a basketball court, pool/hot tub, weights, massage room, and awesome classes such as yoga and Zumba... many machines and a huge weight room." An October 2019 review echoed the class range - "body pump, zumba and alot more for the cheap price monthly." So you're paying for breadth: swim, classes, courts, and iron under one roof.

Where the voices agree and clash

Two things recur. First, the staff get praised repeatedly, even inside the angry review. Second, the pool keeps coming up as a weak spot. A September 2019 first-timer wrote, "The pool was not clean at all... Please let them know to clean the pool and bathroom connected to pool on a regular basis." The one-star reviewer independently flagged the pool too. When two unconnected people name the same problem, that's a pattern worth taking seriously - if the pool is your reason for joining, go look at it yourself first.

There's also a quieter access issue. A racquetball player of "over 2 years" enjoyed the location but hit "Lots of red tape and uncooperative management" trying to start leagues. Different member, similar theme: the club runs fine for casual use, but organized or non-standard requests seem to stall.

What that 4.5 out of 630 measures

This is a big, trustworthy sample - 630 ratings, so no single bad day moves it. A 4.5 across that many people says "widely liked with real, recurring friction." The friction has a shape here: front-line staff score well, facilities are broad, and the complaints cluster around pool cleanliness and management responsiveness. That's a useful, specific profile, not a vague vibe.

What's missing

No price on this page - "cheap price monthly" is the closest anyone gets, and that's not a number. No opening hours in the listing. No cancellation terms, which matters double given the corporate-service complaint. No phone number provided here, so plan to reach the location through its site.

Who it's not for

Anyone who mainly wants serious lap swimming - the pool draws repeated complaints and gets monopolized by water-aerobics classes at peak times, per the one-star review. People who value fast, responsive account support may be frustrated. If you just want machines, classes, and a friendly front desk, you'll likely be happy.

FAQ

Is the pool good for lap swimming?

Multiple reviewers say no. Two independent reviews flag cleanliness, and one notes water-aerobics classes take over the whole pool at peak evening hours, leaving no dedicated lap lanes.

What does membership include?

The reviews describe a full health club: weight room, machines, pool and hot tub, basketball court, massage room, sauna, spa, and classes such as yoga, Zumba, and body pump.

Is customer service reliable?

At the club level, reviewers praise the staff. One detailed one-star review warns that corporate and upper management were slow to return calls, so ask about billing and cancellation support before joining.

Had originally given club 3 stars, dropped it to 1 star after dealing with their corporate office/customer service. Spoke to the GM of the club, but she was very little help. Those in charge in upper management(Jason) do not return calls, very unprofessional so far.The customer service line states they have no way of contacting others in the corporate office( whoever heard of that?) At this point I'm regretting joining, promises not kept. Very dirty at times, though it does seem as if they're trying to get a handle on it. The staff are fantastic and very friendly. The pool situation is horrendous, they need dedicated lap swimming lanes for those actually wishing to train. Every evening they've some form of water aerobics at the same time most who wish to lap swim after getting off work. Nothing against those who wish to take the class, but no need to use the entire pool. I've left several phone messages with the corporate office with promises of a returned phone call, but so far no call, no reaching out.
