LA Fitness

I reall enjoy working out. For the two years I’ve been here it’s always been clean and with enough space to work out. The employees are also very helpful. Jessie K. was able to help me out today with an issue I had earlier and really appreciate it!

My Daughter and I walked over on Halloween for a quick workout, while she plays in the Kids Club. The woman in the front desk just looks at us and notifies me that the Kids Club is closed. I asked to freeze my entire account for the inconvenience of the kids club, which is closed at 8:00 pm most days.(This location). Does not work for my schedule.However, I do notice members working out some days, while their kids are on the carpet sitting down. My daughter "till this day reminds me of that day where she felt bad for the person not saying hello. a quick hello, how are you? would be nice. Don't just immediately tell us it's closed, than say "I got you."when I want to freeze my account. No longer a member. I make a long drive to get to L.A Fitness and pay monthly to have to drive back for the inconvenience. Another thing, Mondays are busy. Some Equipment is out of order every time. Most classes start late. (This L.A fitness does have a Sauna and parking on the third floor. Hip Hop Class is great. )

It is dirty and unorganized. The free weights are spread everywhere. The personal trainer designated area is of limits even when it's not being used. With a few bright exceptions the staff is mostly on their cellphones (including trainers) or even rude. After trying to cancel the membership (which is way trickier than you think) after phone calls and email I finally manage to do that but still got billed after my canceled period. I ask them please to stop billing me I'm no longer a member and they say they can't promise that. The one plus is their hammer strength machines...

I got a tour of this North Miami location and a 3-day pass to try it out but had to go out of town for an emergency. I got back today and asked if they could reinstate my three days since I never got to try it out and they told me I would have to wait 6 months . I was going to try out another gym too and they had no problem reinstating my trial pass so I guess I'm going to go with them . That's poor customer service I guess they don't care about getting new members. Gym looked decent. Sales person I did have was a friendly, non pushy female.

People be carefull with LA Fitness from North Miami...if you like to sign up with them you need to know that they will charge you from the start for two months...the amount of first and last month and they will tell you that you can cancel any time .Not true. When you try to cancel they will tell you that you have to give them 7 days in order to cancel your membership.After two months automatically it will charge another 52 $ for the annual membership so you will be charged on the third month 100$ for the monthly membership and for the annual membership.First time you go there and try to sign up with LA Fitness membership The person who will do the paperwork will lie you telling you that it will make a deal for you and you don’t have to pay anything beside first and last month. Not true!!!!...after 2 months they will still charge you for the annual membership. Even you use the gym for only two months they will still charge you for annual membership!!!Annual membership for what?????Nobody will mention that to you.It is written very very small in the contract that you sign.Be careful with this people!!!!super unprofessional company!!!!Same thing with the personal trainers !!!!Even worst!!!!
