Court One Athletic Clubs

Lansing, United States

Court One Athletic Clubs (listed here as Bicicor Mundo GTS) shows 4.3 from 35 reviews, and its five written reviews describe a full multi-sport athletic club - tennis, basketball, an outdoor pool, and a bounce house for kids - rather than a straightforward weights-and-cardio gym.

A Long-Term Member's Detailed, Balanced Account

Ethel Anthony's review is the most valuable here specifically because she's been a member "for years" and doesn't just praise the place - she explains her own reasoning: "I do not go to the frequent classes that are very popular. I enjoy working out myself and it is quiet! No excessive talking. Those working out are serious and focus on the task at hand." She also flags something worth knowing directly: "Are there issues...yes. But over the years suggestions by members have been valued. On my own wish list is a blood pressure machine for participants use." I'd trust this account more than a typical five-star review precisely because she names both what works and what she'd still change.

A Specific Community Program, Named Directly

Ethel also mentions something unusual for a fitness club: "I congratulate them for a relationship they have with a special needs program where, along with a job coach, these special young adults work around the gym cleaning." That's a specific, verifiable detail about the club's community involvement, not a vague claim - worth knowing if that kind of program matters to you as a member.

Full Facility Confirmed by Multiple Reviewers

Paul Rubin's review confirms the range of amenities in a compact summary: "There is a good mix of cardio and strength equipment, plenty of gym and court space, and an outdoor pool. The facility is well maintained, the staff are courteous, and membership fees are reasonable." K R's review adds a family-oriented detail: "drop your kids off for a fun time in the AMAZING new bounce house! All of the equipment is new, functioning, and in great shape." Khalfani Swindell keeps it brief but flags a specific concern: "Clean. New equipment. Great staff. No diversity in staff" - a direct, pointed observation about staff composition that I wouldn't want to leave out just because it's short.

A Family's Specific, Personal Account

Lindsay Morgan's review describes something more personal than general praise: "My daughter is ten and because of her meds she is overweight. Its hard to find a place where i can workout beside her. She could use all the cardio equipment with me right by her side cheering her on. It made her feel so much better about herself." She also credits the childcare setup directly: "The child care option is great for the little ones and with the huge glass wall, my son is always able to see mommy is not far away." That's a specific, personal account of the facility working for a family's particular circumstances, not a generic recommendation.

What's Missing

No review states exact membership pricing beyond general "reasonable" claims. Nothing confirms whether Khalfani's staff-diversity observation reflects an ongoing pattern or a single visit. The newest written review is from October 2019, more than six years old now.

Who It's Not For

Anyone who prefers a pure weights-and-cardio gym without the added court sports, pool, and childcare amenities - this is a broader athletic club. Anyone who needs current information, since the written record stops in 2019.

Court One North is a great place to exercise, play tennis, play basketball, and drop your kids off for a fun time in the AMAZING new bounce house! All of the equipment is new, functioning, and in great shape. Along with the great equipment, the staff is very friendly, and the CEO is always willing to help with any issues regarding the club. I would 10/10 recommend this club to anyone looking for a new place to not only exercise, but have fun!

I have been a member for years. Over the years structural improvements as well as equipment upgrades have been made. My reasons for belonging are: 1. Quietness. I do not go to the frequent classes that are very popular. I enjoy working out myself and it is quiet! No excessive talking. Those working out are serious and focus on the task at hand and do not stand around talking. 2. Equipment has been upgraded and easy to use. If you need help on using the various machines....the training staff is happy to instruct the correct usage. 3. The staff is friendly and very helpful. 4. Trainers are well trained, enthusiast, helpful, and explain WHY they are asking you to master various exercises. Are there issues...yes. But over the years suggestions by members have been valued . On my own wish list is a blood pressure machine for participants use. I do not play tennis but the program looks to be extremely successful. I congratulate them for a relationship they have with a special needs program where, along with a job coach, these special young adults work around the gym cleaning . The membership fees are fair as are the rates for long term lockers. So, if you are looking for a friendly, effective , and reasonable price health club....this is it.
