Started training to get back in shape after pregnancy - 3 years later and I’m still there. This dojo is one of a kind. The owners are brothers and they treat you like family. Man, woman, non-binary - we are all treated with respect here. Come try a class, you will never want to leave.
I've been training for years in different gyms in amsterdam. At dojo Doorje I've felt particularly at home since I also have Surinamese roots. The trainers are very experienced and friendly. This is also the general atmosphere while training and sparring with others. Definitely reccomend!

What really sets Dojo Doorje apart from any other are the coaches. Piet and Rodney are some of the most humble and kind people you could ever wish to meet, and it’s always a pleasure to be training in their gym. They’re friendly, supportive and encouraging, expert instructors, and you’re certain to get results in their caring, and motivating environment. I had the privilege of doing a few private sessions in Muay Thai with Piet. He puts in so much time and attention into the micro details of the fine art. Every punch, every kick, every drill and every move is carefully observed and mistakes corrected as soon as possible. I really appreciated his ability to explain clearly the technique breakdowns and concepts of application. His coaching style and experiences in the ring has also made me appreciate Muay Thai and its aspects. Looking forward to doing more private sessions this year! Great coaches, great gym, great people!
