Very nice and informative your. Worth to experience. Tour costs €9 takes about 1,5 hour, which includes 2 (alcoholic) drinks at Bitburger and 3 free drinks and one of the 6 selected traditional German restaurants in the town. Tour was available in Dutch, German and English.
You dont get to see actual Bitburger beer brewery, it is digital story of beer making process. It is still nice, but after beeing in Pilsner urquell brewery in Pilsen (CZ), other beer brewery tours feels less impressive. But- ticket is cheap, and 5 drinks are included in the price!!
Fun to experience. Especially with a price of 9 euro's which includes a tour and two beers. The entite tour is in german.. they have fun interactive rooms were the information the tourguide tells you in german is also written on in german.. why not write the english translation next to it so many other people can learn about the history as well. We had a dutch/ german tour guide. She could only do the tour in german due to time, so i lost alot of the information. (She was great tho!). At the end you can choose two beers to drink. Very tasty and fun. Also some fun souvenirs in a little shop. Do reccomend, but if you dont speak german you are going to miss all the information.
Did a guided tour, was a bit disappointing since it was only through a non working part of the brewery. The quality of the guide was good however. A bit of an overkill of movies explaining the brewery process. The tour lasts for one hour, followed by a beer tasting of 40 min (2 beers and 1 pretzel). 9€ per person.
We hadn't made a reservation but were kindly allowed to join an already fully booked tour. The tour itself, however, was incredibly dull. For an hour we were walked through endless facts about the brewing process. It felt like a route designed by an engineer, explaining every single detail step by step. Hardly engaging, and the reactions from the large group reflected that as well - we didn't see anyone laugh during the entire tour. Things lightened up a bit during the tasting, after enjoying some of their tasty beer varieties.
