I just went to sign up for a membership because of the babysitting program and it was full - so I had to turn around - no membership, no workout. Last time I was there they said it’s never full. I asked about a system to let us know - and he said it never happens, it’s just because it’s raining today. We live in Norway. It rains all the time. It’s a huge mission (and accomplishment) to get out of the house with a baby and head to the gym - and to be turned away sucks! I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t take much to implement a system. I guess I’ll spend my membership funds on a babysitter 😑 . I was so excited about this opportunity and have given the program so much kudos - I should have tried it first.
Hanni the receptionist was supremely rude and dismissive. Just wanted to get a day pass. She was really not interested in helping at all

I’ve been a paying member of SATS for over 6 years, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had with any gym. At the Bislett location, the entry app failed due to an internal issue. Instead of helping, the staff simply refused me access, saying “customer service is closed after 16:00.” No effort, no solution, no accountability, just a complete lack of professionalism. It’s honestly embarrassing that a company of this size can’t handle a basic situation like letting in a loyal member when THEIR system fails. Hiding behind support hours instead of solving the problem on the spot shows how little they care about their customers. After 6 years, this is how you treat members? Completely unacceptable. I will not recommend this gym to anyone.
The waiting list for group classes is the biggest scam and non sense. First of all you can’t book to far in advanced if you are new to SATS, you need a certain amount of days or long tenure membership to be able to have access to advance booking. Because unfortunately if you are new to Norway no matter if you in the end pay the same as everyone, you don’t have the opportunity to book what you want and once the system finally allows you to book something you are on waiting list. And on waiting list, if you are first and you go 8 minutes before the class start to see if you can get a no show spot, they tell you spots are given 10 min before. I think SATS is very not good in general and it’s maybe worth to pay a little extra to a gym membership that treats everyone equally.
