Emf Performance Centre

I went to this one on a day pass, it's an amazing gym. It is level 1 though (most expensive tier) but you really get what you pay for. I'm not upgrading to level 1 anytime soon but this is a great gym for people wanting a luxury fitness experience.

EMF CBD is a hidden gem!! First time I trained here Zack was super helpful and gave me a full gym tour. The members are all lovely and one of them was kind enough to help me rack weights. Awesome mix of serious lifters and gen pop in the gym. The equipment and facilities are outstanding! The gym floor needs a good mop but it's definitely not a deal breaker. Love this gym, and would highly recommend! Also ladies they have the best abduction machine and kickback machine. 😍

Love this gym but am extremely concerned about the number of classes now available. Instructor's leave but are not replaced and given I joined to do reformer Pilates the opportunities are now very limited. Was great not sure that the place will hold it's customers given their lack of service now.

I'm extremely disappointed with the maintenance and cleanliness standards at this gym. For a facility that's supposed to be new, it's shockingly dirty and poorly maintained. Major Issues: Pool Hygiene: The pool, which should be the cleanest area, is only cleaned once a month. This is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable for a gym facility. General Cleanliness: The floors are constantly covered with hair, and I have never seen the equipment being wiped down or sanitized. This is concerning from both a hygiene and health perspective. Recovery Equipment Problems: The massage chairs are consistently broken or malfunctioning. The boot recovery system has only 3 units, and last time I checked, only 1 was actually working. This is ridiculous when recovery is supposed to be part of what we're paying for. Limited Recovery Access: While the gym advertises 24/7 access, the recovery area isn't! After staff hours, we can only use the massage chairs. What's the point of 24/7 access if we can't access the full facilities? Lost Property: They threw away my bikini and still haven't reimbursed me. Bottom Line: I only stay here because it's the least worst option in the city - simply due to lack of alternatives. The only positives are that the equipment is new and the gym doesn't get too crowded. If you have other options, research them first. Look for a gym that actually maintains its facilities properly. This place has potential but fails on basic hygiene and maintenance standards.

Very disappointing experience with EMF Brisbane. My membership was $55 per week, and I was charged close to $600 while I was not even in Brisbane or using the gym. On top of that, they still had the audacity to charge me an additional four weeks for cancellation. Before travelling, I clearly explained my situation and was assured by a staff member at reception that my membership would be placed on hold until I returned. That never happened. Instead, I continued being charged the entire time. Now, when it comes to taking money out of my account through direct debit, that seems to be no issue. But when it comes to refunding money for a service I did not use and was told would be on hold suddenly they cannot do it because I "didn't sign a cancellation form," a form that was never provided by their staff. I was misled and given the impression that my membership would be handled correctly, when in reality it wasn't. If you're thinking of signing up to this gym, be aware: they will do everything to keep your membership active and continue charging you, but when issues arise, they take no accountability. Paying $55 per week for a service you're not even using and then being denied a refund is unacceptable especially when charges were taken without proper authorisation.
