Crewe Lifestyle Centre shows 4.0 from 243 reviews, and its written reviews describe a genuinely multi-purpose facility - gym, pool, library, and cafe under one roof - with real, specific friction around parking and one detailed billing complaint worth knowing before you visit.

A Family-Friendly Facility, With One Real Catch

Ogbeni Labuddy's review lays out the appeal clearly: "This is the perfect spot for all your fitness needs, as it offers a wide range of equipment and facilities, including a swimming pool. Additionally, there's a library and a coffee shop, making it an ideal place for a family outing. However, the main drawback is the parking situation. You need to park in the adjacent retail area, and the parking time is limited to only 2 hours." That two-hour limit is a specific, practical constraint worth planning around directly if you want a longer visit combining a swim with time at the library or cafe.

A Specific, Detailed Pricing Complaint

Robert Thomas's review describes a concrete billing inconsistency: "Come every Sunday with my daughter to help her learn to swim and today I've been met with a very rude receptionist over charged me even though she served me last week GBP 7.60 and this week GBP 12.60 knowing my daughter is under 3." I'd flag that specific price jump directly - from GBP 7.60 to GBP 12.60 for what he describes as the same weekly visit - as worth clarifying with staff before you pay, since it's a concrete, checkable discrepancy rather than a vague complaint about cost.

A Positive Account of Community and Atmosphere

One reviewer's account describes real social connection built through regular attendance: "Clean and well-maintained, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is motivating without being intimidating. I highly recommend it to everyone and I have made some really good friends here and love meeting them here every week and we enjoy the classes together." That's a specific, personal account of the classes functioning as a genuine social anchor, not just a workout.

Amenities Confirmed Independently

Martin Edwards's review confirms the broader facility description: "There is a well equipped gym and swimming pool. Various fitness classes are provided, some of which are aimed at seniors. The local library is in the same building as well as a cafe." Senior-specific classes are a specific, useful detail if that's what you're looking for, and his account independently confirms Ogbeni's broader picture of the building housing multiple services beyond fitness.

What's Missing

No review gives an official price list, and Robert's account of an inconsistent charge for what should be a repeat weekly visit is worth clarifying directly with staff before assuming a fixed rate. Nothing confirms whether the two-hour parking limit has changed.

Who It's Not For

Anyone planning a longer visit combining the pool, library, and cafe in one trip - the adjacent retail parking is limited to two hours. Anyone who wants guaranteed, consistent pricing for repeat visits, given one specific account of being charged noticeably more for what should have been the same service.

I recently visited the swimming baths with my children and overheard some news which upset me. I was disturbed to learn from a couple of lifeguards chatting, that an older lifeguard is in a relationship with a much younger staff member. I got one of the lifeguards to point them out to me and the man in question appeared to be in his late 30s while the young lady was likely no older than 20. While they are both adults, the age gap and the fact that this individual is assigned to lifeguard the kids' pool is unsettling to me as a parent. Several other parents I spoke to shared this discomfort. Needless to say this man should know better and I will be going to a different centre from now on. I would advise other parents to be cautious
