Gyms148401motivate Bootcamp Personal Training And Bootcamps

Lakewood, United States

The listing here is filed as "Motivate Bootcamp," but every reviewer and the website itself call it Catalyst, at 1545 Quail St #5 in Lakewood, Colorado. So read past the slug. What the reviews describe is a small-group personal training gym, and one detail repeats often enough to be the real headline: this place is built around people over 45 and around coming back from surgery.

The strongest review isn't about weight loss

Plenty of gyms post transformation numbers. What caught my eye was a member writing in March 2026 who led with orthopedic surgeries, not vanity goals: "I have had a string of orthopedic surgeries and finally found this place to help with getting my strength and flexibility back. They specialize in people over 45 and modify my routine as needed for my issues. Class size is capped at 7 so you always get help on your form." A November 2025 reviewer came in "following knee surgery" and said the coaches "tailored my workouts to help me get back on track safely." That's two independent voices pointing at the same thing: rehab-aware coaching in a room small enough that someone actually watches your form.

What the average is measuring

The score is a flat 5.0 across 117 ratings. A perfect average that large is unusual, and it's worth asking what's being rated. The written reviews skew toward long-term members reporting big personal wins. A January 2026 member wrote about six months in, a 45-pound loss, and a first unassisted pull-up. That's a real milestone, but notice the selection: people who stick with a capped, coached, over-45 program and get results are the ones who come back to write. The gym you're reading about is the one those members experienced. If small-group accountability isn't your thing, this sample won't tell you how you'd feel.

Where the voices agree

Community shows up in nearly every review, and so does injury modification. The class cap of 7 is stated as fact by a member, not just marketing. Hours are listed: 7am to 7:30pm Monday through Thursday, 7am to 2pm Friday, and 8am to noon Saturday, closed Sunday. Those are narrow evening hours, so a late-shift worker should check before signing anything.

What's missing

No review states a price. For small-group personal training, that gap matters more than usual, because this format costs more than a big-box membership and nobody here says how much. No one describes the equipment beyond barbells and squat racks mentioned in passing. If cost drives your decision, you'll get it in one phone call at +1 303-955-6897, and I'd make that call before anything else.

Who it's not for

If you want a cheap 24-hour warehouse where nobody talks to you, this is the opposite of that. The whole model is a coach watching seven people. Younger lifters chasing max numbers may find the over-45 framing off, though nothing stops them from joining.

Absolutely love this place! I have had a string of orthopedic surgeries and finally found this place to help with getting my strength and flexibility back. They specialize in people over 45 and modify my routine as needed for my issues. Class size is capped at 7 so you always get help on your form or modifications so you don't injure yourself. I can't believe the change in my strength after 18 visits! Can't recommend them enough!

I love Catalyst! Not only is a place where I feel supported and guided as I grow my strength and fitness but it’s a place I look forward to being. It feels like a real community of people you know and enjoy spending time with. The trainers helped me workout safely when I was recovering from an injury. The classes are small, fun and dynamic. I try to talk all my family and friends into joining. Simply can’t say enough good things at Catalyst.

Catalyst has 3 of the best trainers that will help you with your progress and goals. Corey, Katherine and Brian want to know your goals and want to help you achieve them. They create a great atmosphere and are always motivated to help you. After every workout I feel that I have accomplished everything I wanted that day. Corey, Katherine and Brian make that happen on a daily basis. I haven’t felt this great in years. Thank you all so much for what you do!!!

Update to my earlier review: I have now been with Catalyst for over 6 months. The training is next level, and the community unbeatable! We just had a holiday party, and it was so much fun celebrating the year and everyone’s accomplishments & new friendships! Personally, I have lost 45 lbs, improved my leg strength and stability to where I can now do real barbell squats, and best yet- I can now do multiple chin ups and just three days ago I completed my first unassisted pull up! My strength, my posture, my energy, and my labs have all improved! And best yet, my 77 yo mother joined the gym (first time in her life) 2 months ago; my 20 yo daughter came home from college for winter break and has wanted to spend 3 days/week with me at our local Planet Fitness learning weight training/lifting exercises, and my youngest son has signed up for a weight lifting class in high school! The fitness I have pursued is now spilling over into the lives of my family, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic about it! Thank you for changing my life and the lives of my loved ones, Catalyst!

This is, without a doubt, the most welcoming and supportive gym I've ever been to. The community truly feels like family—everyone is genuinely encouraging, no matter your current fitness level or goals. I specifically came to Catalyst following knee surgery, and the coaches have been exceptional. They are incredibly knowledgeable about injuries and have carefully tailored my workouts to help me get back on track safely and effectively. They are fantastic coaches, and I truly love coming to Catalyst! Highly recommend.
