Great place to work out locally. Trainers are great, the place is clean, front desk is run well. The ventilation is good. Best of all you can pay per class if you are not local.

We used CKO to get ready for our wedding. As for any bride, it was very important for me to look my best and to stay fit. I joined CKO and it became an addiction. It’s the best work out ever. I became so addicted that I got a personal trainer, Matt. Through all the pain and sweating thanks to CKO and Matt I lost so much weight. Matt is fantastic personal trainer, he keeps you motivated even when you are feeling like you are about to die. However, with his motivation you keep going and succeed. Thank you very much for helping me achieve my goals 💪👊 - Rita I lost 25 pounds preparing for the wedding all thanks to the team at CKO Sheepshead Bay! -Danny

I've had a better experience at the Bay Ridge location. Front desk is not the greatest here and the trainers are very inconsistent. Only if owners Megan or Matt are around is anyone on their best behavior. Most trainers do not account for proper stretching in their workout because they just want to get out of there ASAP, and I've actually been asked to leave because I was stretching after class. I have also literally watched one of the trainers sit on his phone for 17 minutes during a 50 minute class because just because. It's very unprofessional and sends the wrong tone to the class when your trainers have a bad attitude and everyone can see it.

My bf and I got 6 classes and we were told that we have June- September to use them. We came in September and the girl at the front desk was rude. Didn’t say Hello, just took the pass and said it’s expired. But aside from, when we took classes, instruction isn’t clear during classes, for first timers it’s not a good place because they don’t show you basic technique. You just have to hope that you’re doing it right. And kickboxing is all about technique if you don’t want to get injured. It’s hard to see the instructor sometimes unless you’re right next to them.

If I were able to give ZERO stars I would. From the minute we walked in we could tell, this wouldn't be good. Purchased 6 classes from Groupon, and when we came in to redeem them, the girl at the front desk had an attitude. No hello, no smile, no greeting of any kind. That was each time we went back. Spent the money, so didn't want it to go to waste. There were no locker rooms, so changing in a small bathroom was fun. When the classes began, the mic was so distorted, was hard to hear any instructions given by the Instructor, and they never came around to see if we needed help or if we were even doing it right. There was no rhyme or reason to any of the sequence of "rounds". Just bouncing around from exercise to exercise, not as in a circuit, but just seemed like they didn't know what to do next, and were just winging it. I have tried other Kickboxing gyms, and this by far was the absolute worst. I am glad I only purchased 6 classes, and not a membership. I couldn't finish those 6 classes fast enough so I wouldn't have to go back.
