Absolute Pilates sits inside The Centrepoint at 176 Orchard Road in Singapore, and the name only tells half the story. Read the reviews and you'll see two products under one roof: reformer-style pilates and indoor cycling. Almost every written review talks about spin as much as pilates. So if you came looking for a quiet mat studio, adjust your expectations before you book.

What the reviews actually describe

The written feedback is instructor-led, not room-led. People pick a coach and stay. One member wrote in April 2026 about a spin instructor: "Rode her class when I was 1 month into spin. Still riding her classes 3 years into spin. This is an instructor you can grow with." A December 2025 review of another coach said her classes "mix classic and contemporary moves, so they never feel repetitive." A separate April 2026 reviewer described training with a coach whose sessions were "on the higher-intensity side" with "a strong focus on core stability, muscular endurance, and full-body conditioning." The recurring signal: this is a place you attach to a person, and the person matters more than the address.

What the 4.3 is really measuring

Here's the part worth slowing down on. The average is 4.3 across 578 ratings, but every written review I can see is a 5. When the visible words are all glowing and the number still lands at 4.3, the silent ratings are doing the pulling. Hundreds of people tapped a lower star without leaving a reason. That doesn't mean the coaches named above are wrong about their own classes. It means the class you booked, the time slot, and the instructor swing the experience enough that a fifth of the room quietly rated it below five. A boutique class studio with 578 ratings is being judged on scheduling, wait-lists, and packed rooms as much as on coaching.

Where voices agree

Cleanliness comes up more than once. A December 2025 member said it was "always clean and tidy" and praised smooth registration. Staff at the front desk get specific credit. Nobody complains about the equipment. The disagreements aren't in the text; they're in the gap between the words and the number.

What's missing

No review states a price, and boutique pilates and spin in Orchard Road is rarely cheap, so that gap is real. There's no phone number in the listing, only the website. Class-pack terms, expiry dates, and cancellation rules, the things that usually generate the silent low ratings at studios like this, go unmentioned. I'd ask about pack expiry before buying anything.

Who it's not for

If you want open-gym free weights and machines on your own schedule, this isn't that. It's timetabled group classes. If a specific instructor's slot fills fast, you may spend more energy booking than training.

FAQ

Is Absolute Pilates only pilates?

No. Reviews describe both reformer/pilates and indoor cycling (spin), often praising the same studio for both.

Why is the rating 4.3 if reviews are positive?

The written reviews are 5-star, but the 4.3 average across 578 ratings means many silent ratings sit lower. Class experience varies by instructor and time slot.

Is there a price listed?

No review or listing field states pricing. Check the website or ask about class-pack terms directly.

I’ve had a great experience training with Chris. The classes are definitely on the higher-intensity side. Each session is thoughtfully structured to push your limits while still maintaining proper form and control. You can expect a strong focus on core stability, muscular endurance, and full-body conditioning. What stands out most is how effectively the instructor builds endurance over time. The exercises are challenging, with minimal rest in between, but they’re paced in a way that keeps you motivated rather than overwhelmed. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my stamina, strength, and overall body awareness since starting these sessions.

Love taking spin and pilates classes at Absolute. Almost all Absolute instructors are great instructors in their own right. If I have to give a shoutout to a single instructor, I think Una takes the cake. She works really hard to curate her playlists with a solid mix of challenging runs and intense hills. Her classes are well-paced, encouraging, and great for all levels.
