Cuts and Curve A Complete Unisex Gym

Aruba

The strongest review is a gym tourist's

The most useful review here comes from someone who lifts and travels. In December 2023 a visitor from North America called Cuts and Curves in Oranjestad "the nicest gym I've ever been to," then did the thing I wish every reviewer did: they listed the actual equipment. Dumbbells from "5-150lbs, free weights, Olympic squat rack/platforms, belt squat, assault bikes, tire flips, turf, sled, cardio equipment," plus a smoothie bar. That's not "great gym, highly recommend." That's a specific inventory you can plan a session around, and it tells you far more than the 4.7 star number does.

What this actually is

This is a full-service commercial gym in Aruba, and it seems to trade on being the best-equipped option on the island. A September 2025 review called it the "Best gym on the island with an up to date fitness equipment, great showers with steam available," and mentioned "a dedicated area for athletes and massage chairs." A March 2024 review agreed it's "well equipped, clean" with "friendly staff." When several independent voices land on "best on the island," that's less a boast and more a hint about the local market: on a small island, one well-equipped gym can dominate simply because the alternatives are thin.

The one honest gripe

Not everything is five stars, and the one dissent is the most credible review of the bunch. A December 2024 four-star loved the machines and the vibe but flagged a real problem: "the AC is not great and it is quite hot in there! With all those big windows and sun shining in you need to put up the AC." That's specific, physical, and checkable. In a hot climate, a gym with big sunny windows and weak air conditioning is a genuine consideration, not a nitpick. If you run hot, that's the review I'd weigh most.

What the 4.7 measures

A 4.7 across 75 reviews is a solid, mid-sized sample. The written reviews split cleanly: equipment and cleanliness draw consistent praise, staff get named warmly (a January 2026 review is entirely a shout-out to one employee, Fernanda), and the AC is the lone recurring physical complaint. Watch out for the phrases doing no work, though. "Best gym on the island" only means something because reviewers also name what's in the building. A vague "10/10" on its own I'd ignore.

What's missing

The equipment list is unusually good, but the price picture is thin. The December 2023 review says "the day pass is priced very reasonably," yet no review states an actual day-pass or membership figure. Hours are posted (early starts on weekdays, shorter weekends). If you're a traveler planning a drop-in, call +297 582 2102 to confirm the day-pass cost before you show up.

Who it's not for

If you need reliably cool air while you train, the AC complaint is worth taking seriously in this climate. And if you want a quiet boutique studio, this reads as a big, busy commercial floor instead.

FAQ

Is Cuts and Curves well equipped?

Yes. Reviewers list dumbbells to 150 lbs, Olympic platforms, belt squat, sleds, assault bikes, and cardio, plus showers with steam.

How much is a day pass?

One reviewer called it "reasonably" priced but gave no figure. Call ahead to confirm the current day-pass and membership rates.

Is the air conditioning good?

One 2024 reviewer said it gets hot inside due to big sunny windows and weak AC, which matters in Aruba's climate.

This gym is hands down, 10/10. I'm from North America, and this is the nicest gym I've ever been to... The amount of equipment, and options is truly incredible. Has some excellent, very high quality machines I've never used before that I wish I had in my home town gym... Has everything from the most beautiful dumbbells I've ever seen 5-150lbs, free weights, Olympic squat rack/platforms, belt squat, assault bikes, tire flips, turf, sled, cardio equipment, the options are endless; there is also a smoothie bar. The day pass is priced very reasonably. By far the best gym in Aruba, I truly am impressed. If you are a gym enthusiast check this place out.

Great gym and machines are good. It is clean and has a great vibe. However, the AC is not great and it is quite hot in there! With all those big windows and sun shining in you need to put up the AC.
