I am a runner in my 40's training for my first marathon. After a few months of training, I developed pain in my Achilles tendon . I couldn't walk without limping let alone run. This was about 9 weeks before the NYC marathon. I scheduled an appointment with Kevin Coughlin at Champion and he was able to see me within a few days. Kevin was able to accurately diagnose the problem as Achilles tendinopathy and that same visit educated me about the condition, set expectations, and started a treatment plan. As a marathon runner, himself, I felt he understood my goals and his clinical knowledge and manner were excellent. He taught me how to improve my tendon strength and resiliency to accommodate my goals, improve calf and foot strength, and improve my running mechanics to prevent future problems. I was able to return to running about 6 weeks later in time to finish my training block and complete the marathon in a respectable time. As I write this the day after the marathon, the only thing that doesn't hurt is my Achilles. I'm very grateful for his help and highly recommend Kevin Coughlin to any runners out there!

Kevin is the best! After suffering a torn TFL muscle while training for the Boston Marathon, I was devastated and unsure if I'd be able to run. However, thanks to Kevin, not only did I recover in time, but I also felt stronger and more confident than ever before. What truly impressed me was Kevin's holistic approach to my recovery. He took the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly evaluate my injury. Not only did he focus on developing a personalized strengthening and rehab program, but he also took the time to educate me on proper nutrition and hydration strategies for endurance running. His expertise, professionalism, and genuine care for his patients make him an invaluable asset to any runner in need of physical therapy.

I want to express my gratitude to Kevin Coughlin, Mikaela Meyer, and Michael Beardon for their exceptional care and unwavering support during my physical therapy and fitness training at Champion PT and Performance. Their dedication and attention were critical in helping me complete the Boston Marathon, one of the world's oldest and most prestigious marathons, on April 15th, 2024, and earn my medal. Without their invaluable assistance, this achievement would not have been possible! On February 22nd, 2024, I had my intake consultation with Kevin, seeking a second opinion after receiving discouraging advice from two other physical therapy clinics. Unlike the other specialists who tried to convince me that it was too risky to run the marathon, Kevin calmly and confidently outlined my personalized cross-training and strength-building regimen, which set me up for small but steady weekly progress. He patiently taught me effective tips and tricks for recovering and performing without getting injured. Kevin introduced me to Mikaela and Mike, both physical therapy students and rising stars in the field. They were so enthusiastic about my upcoming race that they celebrated my every training win as their own. They helped me stay on track when I was fatigued, uplifted my spirits when things got tough, and encouraged me to believe in my athletic potential. Together with Kevin, they prepared me to cross confidently the starting line at Hopkinton and run a safe, powerful, and successful race. Kevin, Mikaela, and Mike thank you for making me feel like a Champion!

Champion was recommended to me by a sports doctor I've worked with in Chicago and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. I received PT from Champion for a few months for both an ankle and a shoulder injury. My therapist, Kevin, was absolutely amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, honest, and very enjoyable to work with. I could significantly see/feel the difference and healing with the care I received. I 100% recommended Champion to any and all types of people, especially athletes. Thank you Champion and especially Kevin!!

Champion PT+P is awesome. Mike and Lenny are both great and know exactly what they are doing. Knowing that they both have so much experience ensures me that I am in great hands. It is especially cool knowing that Mike has worked with the Red Sox in the past, so that really makes me feel more comfortable in their hands. I recently had Tommy John surgery and these guys were recommended to me. Now I am recommending them myself just 4 weeks later. I have no doubt that with their help I will make a full recovery and come back even better than I was before.
