Thames Valley Athletics Centre

Had a 4 aside football game there. Indoor pitch is good. Generally, the place is good, and people are friendly and welcoming. Facilities such as changing rooms were clean, and the bathrooms too were good with warm water I did see some boxing facilities, can't comment, I know nothing about boxing Added a few pics

I have visited today in a coach bringing you athletes for a athletics meet. It is very busy here as you can expect because as well as the athletics track you have the park with a number of youth football matches taking place but the guys stewarding the car park have done a fantastic job with the coaches to park under trying circumstances, thank you guys. The track cafe is wonderful also, it is clean the staff are very pleasant and the prices are extremely good taking into account the location. All in all a very very good experience and service.

Thames Valley Athletics Centre is a full fledged sports & training centre. Situated in the playing ground of Eton College, Windsor. It has indoor sports hall, Gym, outdoor running track, wonderful viewing terraces for spectators. Apart from sports training, fecilities for meeting, parties are available here. It's a fabulous place with multy facilities. In February, 2020 I had been to here with my grand daughter, she was getting training in athletics here.

I have been to this track before, but many years ago in my young athlete days (both for indoor and outdoor competitions). The 2024 South of England Athletics championships were held here. The outdoor track is ok, not the fastest, but it's clean, no lumps or pot holes. There were, however, lots of stones on the track for some reason. Thankfully, it wasn't too windy on our race day (and it was a tail wind down the home straight), but it's an open track, surrounded by trees, so I would assume it can get quite windy sometimes. Planes also fly quite low overhead, so it can be quite noisy at points. It's great that there is an indoor facility as well, though. I do like this as it pairs as a sports hall and a 60m straight for indoor sprints. Very useful. [Edit] Parking was not free on our event day, which I found disappointing ( I would have thought athletes should at least be free as we already paid to compete in the event). We were given a reduced day rate, but as I was paying on the day, I was told to choose either the machine or go to reception to pay. I chose the machine and ended up paying £7.50 (which was not the reduced fee - I was not informed that the machine option would be more). However, I was later informed that parking is free for members/ regular users, which is good to know.

Absolutely terrible experience. The customer service at this gym is shocking — staff are rude, unhelpful, and completely uninterested in resolving any issues. Trying to speak to someone about a simple problem feels like you’re being treated as an inconvenience rather than a paying member. The changing rooms are consistently dirty and poorly maintained. Lockers are grimy, floors are unclean, and the overall hygiene standards are far below what you would expect from a gym that charges monthly fees. To make matters worse, when I missed a single month’s payment due to an issue with my bank (not because I was refusing to pay), instead of contacting me in a reasonable or understanding way, they immediately started threatening to involve debt collection companies. No attempt to resolve the situation professionally — just aggressive emails and threats. I would not recommend this gym to anyone. There are far better options out there that actually value their members and maintain basic cleanliness and respect.
