Three of the four people who wrote about Cafu Masters Gym in Cancun talk about the equipment, and they don't entirely agree. Sorting that out is what this page is for.
It holds 4.4 from 92 reviews and the record runs through March 2026, so it's current.
The Cables
A member in February 2026, rating it five stars (translated from Spanish): "Good prices, good machines, I'd only like them to put new cables on the pulleys since they look quite worn."
Read that again. He gave it five stars and still told you the pulley cables look worn.
That's a specific, physical, checkable observation, and it's the single most valuable line on this page. A worn cable on a cable machine isn't a comfort issue. I'm not going to tell you it's dangerous, because I haven't seen it and he doesn't say it failed. But he noticed, he mentioned it unprompted while otherwise praising the place, and it's the first thing I'd look at on a tour.
Old But Working, With a Timing Tip
A member in January 2024, rating it four stars (translated from Spanish): "It's a standard gym, it has most of the equipment needed to train and complete your routine autonomously. The equipment is somewhat old but functional. Recommended to go between 12 and 4pm, which are the quietest times."
"Somewhat old but functional" is an honest summary and it sits comfortably next to the worn-cable comment. Two people, two years apart, describing kit that works and shows its age. That's consistent, not contradictory.
The timing tip is pure practical gold: 12 to 4pm is quiet. If you've ever waited twenty minutes for a rack, you know what that's worth.
He also says you can train "autonomously," which tells you it's a self-service gym floor, not a coached model.
Where It's Weak, Where It's Strong
A member in March 2026, five stars (translated from Spanish): "Very good atmosphere, although it needs better machines for legs, they do their job. I really liked the chest machines. Accessible prices."
Now that's useful. He splits it: the leg machines are weak, the chest machines are good. Nobody else in this directory tonight has broken it down by body part.
So the picture across three reviewers is coherent. Older equipment, all functional, better for pressing than for legs, with pulley cables due for replacement. Not one of them is unhappy. They're telling you exactly what you'd get.
Two of them independently call the prices accessible or good, in February and March 2026. Neither names a figure, and there's no phone number or website on the listing to check.
A member in April 2024: "Very spacious and clean, excellent service."
What's Missing
No prices, despite two people calling them good. No phone. No website. No word on classes or trainers at all.
Nobody mentions free weights, a squat rack, or a platform. Four reviews and it's all machines. That isn't proof there are none, but nobody says there are, and if barbells are your thing I'd ask before paying.
Hours and Who It's Not For
07:00 to 23:00 Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 19:00 Saturday, closed Sunday. Long weekday hours, no Sunday.
Not for you if you want new equipment. Everyone agrees it's aging.
Not for you if legs are your priority, going by the March 2026 review.
Not for you if you need Sunday access.
