West Wave Pool and Leisure Centre is one of my favourite places for swimming and fitness, and having visited regularly, I’ve consistently had a great experience here. The facilities are excellent, with swimming pools catering to different levels and ages, along with a diving pool, wave pool, kids’ pool and jacuzzi. It’s a great place whether you’re learning to swim, training regularly, working on your fitness, or simply looking to relax and have some fun in the water. What stands out most for me is the quality of the swimming training facilities. There’s something here for everyone, from beginners and children right through to more experienced swimmers. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful, which adds a lot to the overall experience. There’s also a gym, personal training options and a handy snack bar for grabbing some refreshments after a swim or workout. Overall, a well-maintained and welcoming leisure centre with plenty to offer and very good value for money. Definitely a place I enjoy coming back to regularly. Highly recommended! ⭐️🏊

I called reception to ask about the facility and explained that I had previously joined but hadn’t been able to use my membership. Catherine was incredibly kind, understanding, and supportive. She arranged a new membership for me, and everything was sorted in just one phone call. She made the whole process so easy and stress-free. I have been using the westwave gym for almost 3 years now. Noah has been quiet helpful during my time at the gym. He has been very helpful in creating gym workout programmes for me and also with usage of gym equipments. His knowledge in fitness and health has given me alot of confidents with achieving my personal goals. Highly recommended fitness guru 👏🏼
Everything pool and gym in one place. The pool usually has available lanes but it's good to check if there is a swimming event on and go another day/time. There can be a wait to get into the pool if you are taking children. The sauna, steam room and spa are great after a workout. The two gyms are spacious and have everything I need. Also has a swimming togs and accessories shop and a nice little cafe.
Great pool, great facilities — and an unexpected lesson in human behavior 😂 Westwave Swimming Pool is a fantastic place overall. The pool is clean, facilities are well maintained, and it’s a great venue for swimming events and family visits. Staff and environment are both really pleasant. However, sitting in the spectator area came with a bonus experience: watching someone turn the seat in front of them into a personal footrest. One foot proudly parked on the chair ahead — clearly very comfortable for them, slightly less so for everyone else 😅. Maybe Westwave could consider adding a gentle reminder about spectator manners… because while the pool teaches great swimming skills, some visitors might still be learning basic land etiquette. Still a great place — just hoping next time all feet stay on the floor where they belong!
