It was good, there are an area that's shallow for toddlers, a slide for older people, but this is unmanned so children were being silly on it and not following the rules. There was bubble beds as well.
Had a great swim. Haven't been there for a while. Even though I'm 57, I really enjoyed the waterside. I don't think I will ever grow up.
Best £11 spent! First time going there and first time taking my 3 year old to a leisure pool. I'm really pleased with the design and layout of the pool, that it gradually gets deeper. Which meant I could ease my daughter into the water at her own pace. Also the water was a great temperature. The pirate slide was a big hit too! The only downside was the changing village. It could of had bigger cubicles and the parent and child one could of been a bit bigger, couldn't get that many families in it. But we will definitely be going again.
Drysuit required for swimming. So disappointing. I saw the reviews and thought with the new ownership things may have changed. Such a shame because the pool is actually a really nice space for children. I used to take my children years ago and it was always a great place to be but now, it’s bloody freezing. I was only able to stay in there with my granddaughter for 20 minutes, she just got far too cold. Apparently they are doing a refurb but honestly it would be pointless and a waste of money if they don’t do something about the temperature of that pool. I would avoid it unless you are used to ice baths. Everyone active - you can do better!
I love Danes camp however I think it’s very weird that they don’t take cash. When I try to use cash i’m looked at as if I’m being weird, like cash isn’t money? Anyways I think it’s very anti-homeless of them and unacceptable, shouldn’t even be allowed. So warning if you do go there, please take cash as they do have a cash register but they ask if you can bring card next time, which is stupid from a business standpoint.
