XNF Health Centre is on Ahmed Block in Garden Town, Lahore. It holds a 4.1 rating from 198 Google reviews. Two members raise things you'd want to know before handing over a month's fee, and one of them concerns your belongings.

The Locker Keys Open Each Other's Lockers

A member in September 2019, three stars, documents it precisely: "The lockers are not safe at all. For example the key for locker 9 can open locker 4, 8, 12, 16 and obviously 9."

Every fourth locker, one key.

That's not a vague grumble about security, it's a specific pattern, and the member had clearly tested it. If it's still true, anything you leave in a locker is accessible to a share of the other members holding keys.

Is it still true? That review is nearly seven years old, so quite possibly not. But it costs nothing to ask at reception whether the lockers have been rekeyed, or simply to take your valuables onto the floor with you.

The same member raised two other things: the drinking water, which they say wasn't clean and photographed, and a missing T-bar. Their conclusion is worth quoting because it's balanced: "The only thing good, and the reason due to which I am still staying here, are the coaches of this gym."

They stayed. For the coaching.

The Price, And A Named Competitor

A member in March 2023, two stars: "It's too pricey, basically 10K a month for gym but 10K is what Shapes charges and they have a larger facility, parking, better machines and more equipment. Also the fee and upkeep isn't fair. They have been slowly increasing their monthly fees without adding new equipment or upgrading the facility."

Ten thousand rupees a month, and a direct comparison: Shapes charges the same for more.

That's the single most useful line here, because it gives you both a figure and a benchmark. Fees rising without the facility improving is a specific accusation and one you can test simply by asking what's been added lately.

That member also throws in a jab about who owns the place. I've left it out. It's an insinuation rather than a fact, and it tells you nothing about whether the gym is worth ten thousand rupees.

They do concede one thing, and it matters: "The only good thing is that it is good for females."

The Pool Changed, Apparently For The Better

Here's a contradiction that resolves nicely once you look at the dates.

A member in October 2014, four stars: "The pool is pretty good. They keep it clean however it is closed in winters."

A member in December 2024: "A good well equipped gym and a heated swimming pool. It's small but perfect place with good environment. Personal coaching is available for gym and swimming. The pool was good experience as I used to go at 8 am morning before office."

Closed in winter in 2014. Heated in 2024. Ten years apart, so that reads less like a contradiction and more like an upgrade. Worth confirming, since it's the difference between a year-round pool and a summer one.

Women's Timetabling

The 2014 member describes how the slots worked: mornings 07:00 to 10:00 and evenings 16:00 to 22:00 for men, with the middle of the day reserved for women.

That's twelve years old and I'd expect it to have changed, but two independent reviewers, a decade apart, both flag that this place works for women. If that's your consideration, ask for the current timetable rather than trusting mine.

Hours

Monday to Saturday, 07:00 to 22:00. No Sunday hours are listed.

FAQ

Are the lockers secure?

A member in September 2019 found that one key opened multiple lockers. Ask whether they've been rekeyed, or keep valuables with you.

How much does it cost?

A member said 10,000 rupees a month in March 2023, and argued a competitor, Shapes, charged the same for a larger facility.

Is there a pool?

Yes, and a member in December 2024 describes it as heated, though a 2014 review said it closed in winter.

Is it suitable for women?

Two members a decade apart say yes. A 2014 review describes a women-only slot in the middle of the day.

The pool is pretty good. They keep it clean however it is closed in winters. They had different timetables which were very convenient though: for guys there were two slots, first one in the morning from 7 to 10 am and second one in the evening from 4 to 10 pm, the time between these two slots was reserved for women. The staff is mostly very helpful except for this one brash/rude guy at the reception.

Its too pricey, basically 10K a month for gym but 10K is what Shapes charges and they have a larger facility, parking, better machines and more equipment. Its mostly for Big Money Garden Town residents. Also the fee and upkeep isn't fair. They have been slowly increasing their monthly fees without adding new equipment or upgrading the facility. Not surprised at all because its owned by someone who is from the army. Kind of tells you all you need to know. The only good thing is that it is good for females. I wish I had enough capital to start my own gym in New Garden Town.
