Visited the Core Recreation Center in Elk Grove just before sunset, and it really captures what makes this city stand out. From the modern architecture to the thoughtfully designed public spaces and lighting, everything feels clean, welcoming, and well planned. As the evening sets in, the entire area takes on a calm and elevated atmosphere. This gym offers a clean, well-organized environment that makes every workout enjoyable and comfortable. The equipment is neatly maintained, and the overall atmosphere feels welcoming. The staff are genuinely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist, creating a positive and motivating experience for members. The administration team likes to take your feedback! This place is great. It's a great addition for the community and a great and efficient way to get fit. The entire facility is clean, staff is welcoming, and overall a safe place. The reason for the 4 star and not the 5 is because of the closing hours. On weekends it closes at 5 while on weekdays it closes at 9, It gotta be later than that man.
This place is very clean with up to date machines. My complaint is that the weight classes are for people that want to work out hard. Beginners don't bother and the Zumba classes are all very high impact. Zumba is supposed to be low impact. Class selection for dance is scarce. They have virtual classes but why would I pay to do that if I could do it from home. They have a new room called ZTX but you have to pay an additional amount the same as a another membership. Kids area should be smaller and have bigger class room for other classes. I joined as a founding member and I'm very disappointed.
A gym should make its members feel safe and valued. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. After a theft occurred, the staff showed very little urgency or concern. The way the situation was handled made me feel like members are on their own if something goes wrong. I cannot recommend this place.
