Nrg Field - Gym in Houston, United States

Houston, United States

This listing isn't a gym. It's NRG Stadium in Houston - home of the NFL's Texans and host to events like the Houston Rodeo, concerts, and Monster Jam - and it carries 28,524 reviews, a scale that has nothing to do with a fitness facility. Every one of its five written reviews describes attending an event there, not training.

A Splurge Worth It, According to One Fan

Bobby's review describes a specific, premium experience: "We pony-upped for the sideline experience and did not regret the cost to value experience whatsoever. We were treated to a fantastic meal and drinks before being escorted to the field." That's a specific, checkable upsell option - a sideline experience package - worth knowing about if you're planning a special-occasion visit rather than a standard ticket.

The One Recurring Complaint: Parking

Every account that raises a criticism points to the same thing. Jessy Epperson: "Parking sucks, soooo bad. Arrival parking runs smooth. Getting out of the parking lot was a nightmare. It took us 35 minutes to get out of the parking lot." Cindy Arreola, independently: "The issue lies with the parking; there needs to be better organization and clearer directions to get there." Two reviewers, describing the same specific problem - getting out, not getting in - and I'd plan around it directly: budget significant extra time after any event ends, not just before it starts.

More Than Sports and Concerts

ShauneyGirl's review describes an entirely different kind of event: "I went to NRG's Foodieland. I had an amazing time. I love to eat and there were plenty of options. There was a stage where we watched performances. Also, there was a mini amusement park in the far corner for children to enjoy." That's worth knowing if you associate NRG Stadium only with football or rodeo - the venue also hosts food-and-entertainment events with activities for kids.

Why This Matters If You're Looking for a Gym

If you found this page searching for somewhere to train, none of it applies. There's no mention of fitness equipment, classes, or exercise in any of the five reviews - this is a major stadium and event venue, not a fitness facility with a similar name.

What's Missing

Nothing here answers a fitness question, because none of the five reviewers are describing a gym. No review states general admission pricing, since costs vary enormously by event.

Who It's Not For

Anyone looking for a gym. Anyone in a hurry to leave immediately after an event, given two independent, specific accounts of severe parking-exit delays.

The design of NRG Stadium is very well suited for all kinds of large-scale events - it's a very spacious venue. However, the issue lies with the parking; there needs to be better organization and clearer directions to get there. We attended the Houston Rodeo, and the experience was very good: great sound, ample space, and a good level of cleanliness (although with so many people, it's understandably hard to maintain).

NRG Stadium is a great place to.visit for a venue or concert. Staff are very friendly, the food is pretty good, and there really isn't a bad seat in the place. Parking sucks, soooo bad. Arrival parking runs smooth. Getting out the parking lot was a nightmare. It took us 35 minutes to get out the parking lot. So be prepared for that. Its been like that for a while so you just deal with it. We went to Monstar Jam and had an excellent time.
