Absolutely love training at Total Fitness! The range of equipment is incredible, and I never have to wait long for a machine. Having the pool, sauna, and gym all in one place is a game-changer. It’s always clean, well-maintained, and has a great atmosphere for all fitness levels
Great gym. Lots of different areas to exercise. Lots of classes to enjoy. Dedicated ladies area. Pools, jacuzzi steam and sauna rooms are well maintained. Heated pool is very inviting. Staff are helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking spaces.
Cant fault the staff they are lovely. But the small pool as been so dirty for over 2 months. Ive reported it numerous times and been told the hoover for that pool is broke. It's not good enough. Does not matter how much chlorine they are putting in its filthy. As a priority that hoover should be fixed or pool should be closed until it is.
The equipment is poor to say the least. I understand if you are just trying to move your body, I believe this gym would be adequate but if you are a seasoned gym goer, athletic and into fitness its quite poor, specifically the machinery is diabolical. Its old, outdated and very poorly kept. I feel the imbalances on pretty much most upper body machines, pulleys are incorrectly balanced, I can imagine alot of injuries due to this. Also weights section is quite disorganised, I never see anyone reorganising or tidying up. I think it needs an update of new machines to bring it into 2026, I feel when you have a membership here its more about access to the other facilities, pool, spa running track because its just a poor gym. I also think the cleanliness is below par, but when looking at the price it makes sense because its very cheap for access to what you get. I do love that a whole family can go here and I think thats one of its biggest bonuses.
I only write reviews when it’s necessary and this one definitely is. Their workers need to learn how to av a bit of respect one guy gets about wearing a hat inside slams doors in peoples faces your working in a place where the users of the gym are your customers when your working in customer service you don’t treat your customers like that at all. I hope someone from total fitness sees this and has a word with some of their workers. Tall geezer with a beard wears a hat inside (didn’t manage to get his name)
