Good venue to swim but I hope the lifeguard really does pay attention.
Very quiet through the day and in the morning means you can have a whole lane to yourself. The pool was a little untidy with leaves on the bottom but other than that the facilities are alright.
Went here cause Granville pools were totally packed with people. Water had lots of visible debris floating and on the bottom, ibises swimming and floating in the shallow pool - staff totally ignorant of this, maybe there's nothing they can do. My tear ducts blocked up for weeks and friends eyes were red afterwards. Indicates water hygiene was poor. We suspect that the local ibises float and wash themselves in both pools.
I was walking to the pools in 33 degrees heat, just to be told no swimming if no ID. apparently they need to keep any form of id in their system while I swim and stuff. This is ridiculous and outrageous disgusting new rule NEVER WILL I GO THEIR AGAIN! So thanks for the 20 mins walk in the heats for nothing.
We were very disappointed with our experience at Merrylands pool, no clean or tidy pools , no wonder why its way less crowded than Granville pools. And lets not mention their toilets and changing rooms, they probdbly havent been cleaned in week or months!!
