Steel Gym in Palm Springs is an excellent gym with a serious, welcoming atmosphere. The space has a great old-school bodybuilding feel, but it's still clean, well organized, and comfortable to train in. The equipment selection is strong, especially for anyone who cares about real strength training, free weights, machines, and getting a proper workout without the overly polished corporate-gym vibe. Overall, a great Palm Springs gym with character, solid equipment, and a motivating environment. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a serious place to train.
very welcoming atmosphere, friendly demeanor among the clients, and visits have always been pleasant. not to mention the owner Mark is an amazing individual who is very passionate and committed to running the gym in a professional and dedicated manner. there is a smoothie/Cafe bar that really completes the experience. will be returning! steel gym is a staple in the palm springs community and id highly suggest their annual pass.
I've resided in the valley since 1991. I was at world gym when it first opened. I recently rejoined. So far it's been great. Good machines, clean, cool staff. I like to work out early(5am) and always encounter a friendly crowd. Thanks Steel gym! Respectfully, Louis Zimmerman
Unbelievably great gym! I'm from Portland OR so I'm bummed that it's not in Portland. The equipment is amazing and well maintained. At one point I was looking for a piece of equipment and I asked a member and they were super nice. Seems like people knew each other and were rooting each other on. motivation Is everywhere just look at the wall, awesome posters. I really think you can judge a gym by how high the dumbbells go their's goes up to 150. They have a protein shake bar! If there were more stars I'd give it more. If you're on vacation like me in palm springs you got to check this place out. It reminds me of the mecca.
Staff was great...! Machines and locker room conditions could be much improved. Surprisingly..found some of the guys who work out there acting like a Mean Girls club. LOL ...lots of attitude coming from a much older demographic..who should know better. I wont go back..wasn't worth the guest fee.
