I don't understand the negative reviews. The gym is very well-equipped, centrally located, spacious, and has excellent service. I've been going to this place for decades, ever since it was called Elías Gym 30 years ago. Since then, it's had several owners and names, and this current run is among its best.
I like this gym and its price. Some part of equipment is not new, but it's ok.

It's an overcrowded gym, the ventilation is poor, and the smell is unbearable, especially in the cardio room. They do maintenance, move machines, and replace flooring during operating hours, and they don't communicate with users, which is uncomfortable and dangerous. There were leaks in the locker room; honestly, my experience there was bad. I don't recommend it.
In my opinion, I've only been a few times, and the staff are fine, they're not to blame, but for what they charge, at least the machines should be in decent condition. Refurbished machines would be normal, not machines from when I was 15; I'm 44 now, and they're the same and, on top of that, rusty. If you don't wear gloves, you risk hitting anything. My advice is to think about it and install machines, if not new, at least rust-free ones. I don't know how they pass inspection. And I repeat, this isn't a criticism of the staff, but of whoever is responsible for the machines being in that state.
