Lucille Roberts- Commack

I love the Commack location with the exception of when Sue teaches. If you want to hear a voice louder than the loudest volume on any device you use to listen to music, then go to the Commack location when she teaches. I have walked out more times than i can count because her voice slices through your head and makes what should be an enjoyable experience, quite the opposite. I've been told she's been ask to knock down her yelling but I have yet to witness that. I make it a point not to go if i know she's teaching however there have been times when she has filled in for someone else. Out the door i stormed. Other than that the front desk gals are all great and the gym itself is clean and well maintained.

Easy to see right off of Jericho Turnpike servicing Commack and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Clean facilities. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Women only. Nice staff.

I am disappointed that they raised our prices after claiming I had a lifelong locked in price when I first joined. And it wasn't just a couple of dollars either; it was 1/3 more. I used to be drawn in by the yoga class, then use the machines and elliptical. Now they don't have a yoga teacher because even the public libraries pay more! It also is a bit disgusting that I find the same candy wrappers in the cell phone pocket of the elliptical machine I use every week for three weeks or more at a time. Needless to say, in search of a new gym. Ok so since I wrote this a new manager vame on the scene. She brought back yoga, the place is much cleaner so I have stayed on. My only complaint is I wish the music during the classes wasnt quite so loud.

In my opinion worst customer service... not only do they no follow through and cancel a membership when you are right there in the gym filling out the paperwork. They misplace it ... so you are charged once again. I understand $10 ca fee... Then you call go in again ca once more... oh then they don't ca until they ( manager) confirms you want to and can they use card on file for $10 fee... which you answer ( hell they don't ask every month can they charge but for ca fee they do BS! So now this is going on since July.. charged again in October... now I call in a rage because how do these nit wits even get the job.. but now I'm told to contact Corporate ( which is a fkn joke) they don't email back !!!! WORST GYM EVER.. oh and if your young ( high school) watch out they will take ADVANTAGE OF YOU EVERY MOMENT THEY GET... scumbags !
