Read these reviews closely and you'll notice they're describing two different businesses under one roof. The physiotherapy gets glowing, detailed praise. The gym environment gets a shrug. That gap is the single most useful thing on this listing, so let me lead with it.

What this place actually is

The title comes through blank, so let's name it: this is Warners Health Club & Physio on Pickering Road in Hull. Google files it under "sports_activity_location," but the reviews tell a fuller story. There's a health club with a gym floor, a physiotherapy and sports-injury clinic, and a Peloton cafe. Three things, one building. Which one you're going for changes the answer completely.

Where the voices split

The physio side is where the enthusiasm lives. A September 2025 reviewer wrote that a physiotherapist "saw me last minute and was brilliant. He explained everything really clearly... gave me a plan to follow. Left feeling so much more positive about my recovery." A June 2026 review adds, "from my initial phone call requesting an appointment, to my consultation and rehab plans, a great service provided. I'd definitely recommend Warners to anyone with sports injury." Injury treatment is clearly the strength here.

Now the other side. A three-star review from August 2024 walked around the health club before a medical appointment and found it "appeared quite run down, tatty in places and not a pleasant environment if I was to spend significant time working out there." The same reviewer called the Peloton cafe "average" and wouldn't "go again on purpose." So the gym-and-cafe experience and the physio experience are pulling in opposite directions.

There's one more useful note, a March 2026 three-star: a physio visit "was ok although at last minute it was delayed 2 hours." Even the strong side has a scheduling wobble worth knowing about.

What that 4.4 is really measuring

At 4.4 across 36 ratings, this is a moderate sample, and I'd read the number as a blend of two very different products. The physio reviews are dragging the average up; the run-down health-club impression is pulling it down. If you could split the score, I suspect the clinic would rate well above 4.4 and the gym floor below it. So don't read the combined number as a verdict on either one alone.

What's missing

No review states a gym membership price or a physio session fee. Nobody describes the equipment on the gym floor in any detail, which, given the "tatty" comment, is exactly what you'd want to see before joining to train. Call +44 1482 505850 for rates, and ask specifically about the gym floor if that's your reason for going.

Who it's not for

If you want a modern, well-kept gym environment to spend hours in, the "run down" review is aimed at you. If you're recovering from a sports injury, the physio reviews suggest that's where Warners earns its reputation.

I went here for a medical appointment but sampled the Peloton cafe as I was a bit early. As I wasn’t sure where the appointment was to take place I had a walk around the health club too. I found it appeared quite run down, tatty in places and not a pleasant environment if I was to spend significant time working out there. The car park was a decent size but quite a bit of surface water about. The front of the health club looked like it had seen better days. The Peloton cafe was average, I wouldn’t go again on purpose.
