Powershop Gym - Gym in Brookings

After a year of being a member , I decided to leave an honest review. A wonderful place to work out at! They have all th equipment you might possibly need, for power lifting, crossfit, aerobics, pilates, stretching, boxing anything! The stuff is wonderful, showers and mirrors are always clean. Nice water stations. Bunch of cardio machines. Highly recommended! 5 stars.

Excellent facility, knowledgeable staff, and comfortable environment. I use Powershop for both my own workouts, and I have also employed the services of one of their trainers Josh. Josh has done a tremendous job of learning out capabilities and limitations and working around any that pop up while still making sure that we push ourselves and have a great workout! One of my favorite features of Powershop is that there is plenty of room, and usually have no problem with having plenty of personal space. There's no stupid alarm if you lift too heavy or drop weights, and there's no pizza on Friday. This is a gym for people who want to actually work out.

Everyone there is incredibly kind and encouraging. All of the trainers treat you like family and you never feel like your out of place. Joining the training classes was one of the best thing I ever did. It's a great way to have fun while working out!

The Powershop Gym has been a blessing to me. I have only been a client since June but it has helped transform my life. My health has improved 10 fold since I have been going to the Powershop. The staff and trainers are all very friendly and supportive in every way. They have always treated me with respect and been very good at keeping me on track for the goals I have set. My trainer pushes me when I need it and explains what every exercise is doing to improve my wellness. Thanks to everyone there my life is improving.

I started with the group trainings three months after having my third c-section. In just two months I went from 36% body fat to 20%. I love that the trainers mix things up. We never do the same circuit twice! The nutritionists are helpful and attentive as well, making this the best all-around fitness program I've ever done (and I've done my fair share!). I am definitely committed to this gym...especially after all the commitment the staff, trainers, and other group members have shown me! :)
