The Shed

I stayed at SHED Sky Living for 3 months and I had a really great experience! 🌟 The room was very nice, modern, and had an amazing view that made every day even more enjoyable. During my stay, I met many fantastic people and there was a wonderful atmosphere, very international and youthful. The reception staff was also always very kind, helpful, and ready to assist with any need. Of course, since it is a dormitory, there are also parties and livelier moments, but in my opinion, that is actually one of the best aspects of the experience. Overall, it was an extremely positive experience that I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable place to live and meet new people! 💫

We booked through booking.com. The common areas and room are nice, but the neighbour was partying and it was possible to hear every word they said. The rooms are certainly not sound proof. Some of the very young people staying there do not respect the house policies on noise and late hours. ... Below is my reply written after Shed Warsaw's reply: Please be aware that you present it on Booking.com calling it Sky Living and not explaining that it is primarily a student living, which you do as well rent out to people that expect an aparthotel. I believe that the walls are perhaps sufficiently sound proof in an environment with less noise, but not with those young people that kept us awake until 3 in the night. You mention, that we could ask the security for help. However, that was exactly what we did - and you do know from our communication on Booking.com, including our review, that we tried to make use of the security personnel; which were kind, but they are in another building and they do even say themselves that they cannot do anything when some people there make plenty of noise. I do in other words find your reply misleading, because you should be aware that we had exactly tried to solve the noise problems and had asked the security for assistance. Moreover, taking into account that you do rent out to a high number of students that get drunk in the week end, I think you should on Booking.com clarify that it is a student living and should as well consider to have an open reception (and not only security in another building) over the week end.

I am very disappointed with my stay here. Despite paying the full monthly rent, many basic services are not being provided properly. The hot water is rarely actually hot, most of the time it’s just barely lukewarm, making it impossible to even wash my hair. The Wi-Fi is included in the price, but the connection is very poor and unstable. The management of equipment is also frustrating. The vacuum cleaners from the reception often don't work at all, meaning you waste time carrying them back and forth for nothing. The kitchen lacks many basic essentials, and the laundry room is often locked in the evenings—which is a huge issue because the machines are usually fully occupied during the day. On top of that, the noise levels at night are unbearable due to students screaming outside. It has been a very unpleasant experience.

Do not recommend. The rent is way too high for what you get. The apartment is freezing cold because of broken air conditioning. Appliances and fixtures break all the time, requiring constant repairs. Definitely not worth the price.

Terrible experience. The residence has nice common areas, although with the number of people there and the number of restrictions they impose, it’s not worth it. The WhatsApp group is full of messages from guests every day since they frequently find themselves without heating or hot water, without radiators... Most of the rooms don’t have windows that can be opened, only some openings in the ceiling for ventilation, which are useless when you’ve cooked in the room—the smell lingers for days. And given the restrictions in the communal kitchen, cooking is very inconvenient. Also, in all the rooms on the ground floor, you can be seen from the street. The thin walls let every kind of noise through; it feels like you’re living with the person in the next room. You’ll have to buy mops, brooms, pillows, all kinds of kitchen utensils, as well as cutlery, since they don’t provide anything at all. For this and a lot of reasons more, with the amount of accomodotion dorms placed in Warsaw, I regret of not having look for another option.
