I’ve been going here for over 2 years and have renewed my contract with them, so overall I’d say it’s a very good gym and an excellent value with some caveats. I go 3-4 times a week, usually during the week day in the morning, and find the gym very pleasant in terms of having no wait times for equipment. however on the weekends and in the evenings the gym does become too full to work out efficiently. If you’re only able to work out at peak times then I’m not sure I’d choose this gym. The women’s locker room is clean with a great dry sauna and enough showers, hair dryers, etc. Great free weight areas and cardio machines with a very decent amount of free space for floor training, lots of trx stuff and plyometric blocks as well as a nice stretching room that is generally peaceful. They do Hyrox group training here which is quite annoying because they blast the music and dominate the open floor area but it’s not so frequent that I find it disturbing. Again, this seems to happen more frequently on the weekend. All in all a well maintained well equipped gym with friendly employees. Special shout out to the manager who wears a sparkly bow tie and is very very friendly and always makes me laugh. They definitely know the regulars there and are kind and accommodating, a few employees have even given me some helpful nonjudgmental advice on lifting that was appreciated. Finally, as a woman who is doing free weight training and using the squat rack a lot I’ve never felt the free weight zones have any bad “dude” energy, everyone is just busy doing their thing and very respectful. My only note is that they could use a second weight assisted dip and pull up machine as that is frequently in demand :)

The gym has great equipment and machines. They are very modern. It is usually crowded and some employees are not the most friendly, so to say. I don’t like that it is full at all times.

I’ve been a member at Fitness First Prenzlauer Berg for many years, and overall it’s a solid gym with very good equipment. Broken machines are usually repaired within a reasonable timeframe, which I really appreciate. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. That said, there are a few areas with room for improvement. The toilets are often not very clean, and it’s quite clear that this is largely due to how some members treat the facilities. At times, the condition goes beyond what can reasonably be managed through regular cleaning alone, which is unfortunate and does affect the overall experience. The main issue, however, is the indoor climate. Especially during warmer months, it can become very warm and noticeably stuffy inside the gym. At times, it feels as if the air conditioning is not running at all, and improvements often only occur after it has been pointed out. This makes training significantly less comfortable than it should be. In many international gyms, consistent climate control is standard, which makes this stand out even more. The changing rooms are generally clean, which is a plus. Overall: very good equipment and friendly staff, but clear weaknesses in cleanliness and especially climate management. For me, that results in about 3.5 out of 5 stars.

It’s a perfect gym for people who concentrate on upper body. There is one older hip thrust machine and just one adductor, abductor and leg press machine each. They do have newer glute builder machines but in my opinion the ones mentioned are classics. As it’s always crowded I’ve never had the chance to use any of the machines in like 15 visits and I didn’t go in prime time, more at like 11am or from 15.30pm on on weekdays. Also there are many guys checking girls out. I can go to McFit and have the same experience for less money. Service is nice though!
