Planet Fitness Menlyn

I go to a lot of gyms all the time and this one is my new favourite 😍. Its busy but not overcrowded that you can't use the machine you want. I really like the trainers they offer alternatives during classes when you cant do something and make you feel empowered. The steam room is always working 💪🏼 and this branch has the best water pressure in Gauteng.

Planet Fitness Menlyn has excellent facilities. I transferred from the Queenswood Planet Fitness branch to the Menlyn branch and am truly satisfied with my choice! The equipment are kept clean and in well-serviced condition, the mens-room and other facilities are immaculate and the best of all you are always welcomed with a smile. All of the above motivates me to spend more time in the gym, but, the view of the Pretoria/Menlyn skyline is what gets me there!

Firstly want to start off with the positives, most of the staff is friendly and helpful especially at the cafe. Its always clean and neat. But unfortunately i am very disappointed with the way they have handled me since trying to cancel. I have been trying to cancel my contract for exactly 8 months now. There is a hefty fee that goes with that first of all and after paying i would expect my account to have been cancelled only to find out 3 months later that they have still been charging me. I received a call from them telling me that my payments are outstanding and have to pay the arrears. I then payed it aswell as the fee to cancel my account AGAIN then 5 months later same exact thing happens i have to now pay another outstanding fee which at this point is an outrageous amount of money for a student to pay. Not just that when i signed up for my membership i was told i am getting a student contract which will only be 250 rand a month. Only to be told 2 months later that it is going up to 500? I do recommend you read your contract and do not fall into the trap they want you to. Very disappointed

Old, Dirty, and Unwelcoming I went to this gym while considering a transfer from another facility, and it was a complete disappointment. The place is old and rusty, from the equipment to the general atmosphere. Even the receptionist’s attitude matched the condition of the gym — cold and unwelcoming. The gym floor is cramped, extremely hot temp. While there’s a relatively decent variety of machines, the change rooms, steam room, and showers were dirty, rusty and clearly not maintained. Staff showed no warmth or professionalism, which only added to the poor experience. The only positive is the convenient location, but that alone does not make up for the lack of cleanliness, outdated equipment, and poor customer service. I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for a quality fitness environment.
