Fitness Together Andover shows 4.9 from 64 reviews, and the five written ones are recent - all from the past year - which makes the first one worth reading with extra care, because it isn't quite what it looks like.

A Five-Star Review From Someone Who Hasn't Trained There

Jay DiPanfilo's review, October 2025, opens with a disclosure most reviewers skip: "Amy, the owner of Fitness Together Andover, is a good friend of mine with a genuine passion for helping people feel their best. While I haven't squeezed in a session myself yet (life's been busy!), I've lost count of the friends who've raved about their experiences here." He goes on for another hundred words about strength gains, flexibility, and private suites - all secondhand, from friends, filtered through a personal relationship with the owner.

I want to be fair to him: he says plainly that he hasn't trained there, so nobody's being deceived. But it means one of the five written reviews here isn't a customer account at all. It's a friend of the owner vouching for other friends' experiences. That's worth knowing before you weight it the same as the other four.

The Four That Are Direct Experience

Kate Carrara, August 2025, is the most detailed of the actual client reviews: "I was looking to jumpstart my fitness routine again after gaining quite a bit of weight. I had quite a bit of anxiety walking in but this team does an amazing job of making their people feel welcome and comfortable." That's a specific before-and-after, not just praise.

Steve Kalkwarf, July 2025, has real tenure: "I have been a client at Fitness Together Andover for three years, and I don't see an end in sight. Amy and her trainers (Hi, Ellie!) have been fantastic at inspiring me to work hard." Three years of continued payment is a stronger signal than a five-star rating by itself.

Ethan Coyle, July 2025, describes a family arrangement: "Me, my mom and brother all go here, and we love it." Garo Lalayan, February 2026, is the most specific of all: "I went for my foot post my surgery and I feel better than ever. I can go back to doing all my daily activities with 0 pain." That's post-surgical rehab work, not general strength training, which tells me this studio's private-suite, one-on-one model covers more than typical gym programming.

What's Actually Being Offered

Between these accounts, a consistent picture emerges: private training suites rather than an open floor, programs built around individual goals rather than group classes, and a small enough team that clients know trainers by first name. Three of the five reviewers name Amy directly and praise her by name, which is fine - praise attached to a name is different from a complaint attached to one.

What's Missing

No review states a session price or package cost. No review describes the space itself beyond "private suites." And one-fifth of the written record here, Jay DiPanfilo's review, isn't a first-hand account at all - if you're weighing this page's average, I'd count that one differently from the other four.

Who It's Not For

Anyone who wants a group-class, open-gym-floor environment - every account here describes one-on-one or small private-suite training. Anyone pricing this out sight unseen, since no review gives a number.

FAQ

Four are. One reviewer explicitly says he hasn't trained there yet and is relaying what friends told him, while also disclosing a personal friendship with the owner.

What kind of training does this studio offer?

Private, one-on-one suites rather than an open gym floor, according to every reviewer who describes their own experience, including one doing post-surgical rehab work.

Is it good for beginners with anxiety about starting?

At least one reviewer describes walking in anxious after weight gain and being made to feel welcome and comfortable by the team.

What does a session or membership cost?

No review states a price. Contact the studio directly for current rates.

5 stars! Amy, the owner of Fitness Together Andover, is a good friend of mine with a genuine passion for helping people feel their best. While I haven't squeezed in a session myself yet (life's been busy!), I've lost count of the friends who've raved about their experiences here. From dramatic strength gains and improved flexibility, the results are real and inspiring. They love the super-personalized programs, the expert trainers who adjust everything on the fly, and those private suites that make workouts feel motivating rather than overwhelming. Amy's set such a high bar for professionalism and care - it's no wonder everyone leaves feeling unstoppable!
