A Qigong and Chinese-medicine practice, not a gym

Correct the category in the first breath. This is listed among gyms, but Google files it as a medical clinic, the website points to a traditional Chinese wellness practice, and every review is about Qigong, meditation, acupuncture, and eastern medicine. Yang Chi, in Warsaw, Poland, on Prokuratorska, is the practice of Rafal Becker (and Kamila Becker), teaching Qigong and offering acupuncture and health consultations. If you searched for a place to lift or run, this isn't it, and I won't pretend otherwise. This also isn't a place of worship, it's a movement-and-therapy practice, so the reviews are fair game.

Here's what people actually experienced, dates read from the timestamps.

What clients describe

The core offering is Qigong instruction, often in retreat form, plus one-on-one eastern-medicine care. An August 2025 review described a week-long camp in detail: "Strengthening the body, calming the mind, active rest, comfort, and relaxation - these are the best descriptions of the Qigong camp with Rafal and Kamila Becker in Malkow... Rafal Becker is an outstanding Qigong teacher and an incredibly humble and considerate person. All the exercises and forms introduced were wonderfully explained and patiently repeated. I returned fitter, more flexible, and calmer." (translated from Polish). That's the clearest picture of the product: guided movement, meditation, and forms you can practice on your own afterward.

The therapy side shows up too. An August 2025 client tied together the two halves: "Both the Qigong course and the acupuncture treatments have dramatically changed my mental and physical well-being. Rafal's knowledge is vast." (translated from Polish). A May 2021 review, in English, focused on the consultation: "Very happy with the service and advice from Mr. Becker. He was very clear in explaining the techniques and health plan."

What a 5.0 on 7 reviews really means

Be clear-eyed about the numbers. This is a perfect 5.0, but on only 7 reviews. That's a tiny sample, so the average carries almost no statistical weight. A single critical review would drop it noticeably. On top of that, four of the reviews cluster in August 2025, which reads like a wave after a specific retreat rather than a steady stream over years. That's an innocent pattern, happy participants posting together after an event, but it means these voices sit close to one moment, not spread across many.

There's also a selection effect I'd want you to see. A niche practice built around one teacher's method attracts people already drawn to Qigong and eastern medicine. They self-select into loving it. So the 5.0 tells you the fit is strong for those who seek this out. It doesn't tell you it's a general fitness solution. Would a curious skeptic rate it the same? The record can't say.

What's missing

No prices for classes, camps, or acupuncture. No clear public class schedule beyond broad weekday hours. No indication of drop-in options. For a practice like this, cost and format vary a lot, so a direct conversation matters more than usual.

Who it's not for

Anyone looking for conventional gym training, strength equipment, or a drop-in workout. This is instructor-led Qigong and traditional Chinese medicine. If that framework doesn't appeal, the category label here is misleading for you.

FAQ

Is Yang Chi a gym?

No. It's classified as a medical clinic and functions as a Qigong and traditional Chinese medicine practice led by Rafal Becker, including acupuncture and consultations.

What would I actually do there?

Guided Qigong classes and retreats, meditation, and eastern-medicine treatments such as acupuncture, based on the reviews.

How reliable is the 5.0 rating?

It's based on just 7 reviews, four of them from a single month, so treat it as a small, enthusiastic sample rather than a solid score.

Is it good for general fitness?

One reviewer reported feeling fitter and more flexible after a camp, but this is a niche wellness practice, not a standard gym, so match it to your goals first.

This was my third Qigong event organized by Rafał. The organization is reliable. The first workshop included a special guest from China. The second trip was a continuation of the practice from the previous workshop in Poland, but this time in China. It exceeded my expectations and even dreams. For example, the practice at the temple on Mount Emei. The third trip took place at the palace in Małków. It included an introduction to Qigong practice from the Shaolin Monastery. I found the company excellent and the organization exceptionally harmonious.

Strengthening the body, calming the mind, active rest, comfort, and relaxation - these are the best descriptions of the Qigong camp with Rafał and Kamila Becker in Małków. I remember my week-long stay in a beautiful, atmospheric, historic palace nestled in a vast park as one of the best trips I've had in recent memory. Rafał Becker is an outstanding Qigong teacher and an incredibly humble and considerate person. All the exercises and forms introduced were wonderfully explained and patiently repeated. Shared meditation and short walks brought the group together, which was also exceptional, composed of friendly and inspiring people. I returned fitter, more flexible, and calmer. I learned exercises and systems for independent practice. The Palace in Małków is a place with soul, combining comfort with excellent cuisine based on products from local producers. The atmosphere is exceptional. The staff and owners are wonderful. There's a small playground for children. A colorful curarium and friendly rabbits are a highlight.

Very happy with the service and advice from Mr. Becker. He was very clear in explaining the techniques and health plan. His expertise and knowledge of eastern medicine can very well be relied on.
