Athletic Loft

I really enjoy this gym. It's the perfect size, not too big and not too small. It has its busy times of course, like every gym! The trainers that train there are good people! Everyone is very respectful that comes in and I've never had any issues there!

I enjoy their no-contract membership and responsive, helpful staff. The other gym-goers are friendly and helpful. For me there is only one hitch: I wish there was a more open area for lifts like clean and press, snatch, and power clean. Overall I recommend this place, and the location cannot be beat if you get to Norman by way of Noble or highway 9 East. Edited to add: watch out for hatchling Eastern collared lizards. They're adorable and I found one inside near the front desk. I consider this to be a positive feature of the gym. Please don't squish them.

This gym is great. Very large and not a ton of traffic. I like cycling between two or three exercise stations rather than doing all the sets on one exercise station at once. At busy gyms, this is impossible. I like the spacious atmosphere and they have it all. Very pleased.

I loved this gym initially. But don't ever let the gym owner or his family know your political affiliation or the rest of the members. They will start reporting you for things that are not happening and the gym owner doesn't have enough courage to talk you about said issues. He would rather just make excuses and terminate your membership. Then he will tell you it's my gym and this is how I run it. He's a very unprofessional individual. Not to mention instead of calling me to tell me he had cancelled my membership he just let me show up to the gym while his daughter and wife inside stared at me standing at the door. There is a much better much friendlier gym just north of this one on Classen. Do better
