Lincoln Plaza Athletic Club is a wonderful exercise facility that is never too crowded, has a wide variety of exercise equipment and amenities such as a large swimming pool, basket ball courts, sauna, customer lounges, numerous TV screens, streaming audio ...too many things to list here. I recommend this health club to all my friends. I hope it remains profitable and never closes because it is such a great addition to the recreational amenities available to Central and South Tacoma communities.
Awesome gym, has everything, kickboxing class is awesome!!! Juice bar, tanning, rock climbing wall, sauna, hot tub, steam room, swimming pool, free classes, 30 $ per month....alot less than ymca.....
Everything is going to hell at this place. The list of problems with this place is long. My wife has been a member at this facility for 6 year before it was sold several times, I have watched it degrade to a place which she feels is unsafe. They now don't even provide a way to clean off equipment after each use. I have gotten on treadmills that smelled and were sticky. Lots of times equipment is broken for days, they don't provide towels anymore, which was a major factor in our chosing this gym. Often the place is closed when we get there in the morning. Worst of all, when I tried to talk with mamagement about my concerns, they refuse to talk to me.
They closed again at around the end of 2013. Weeks before that employees' paychecks bounced.
If you're dealing with this club and plan to terminate your membership, CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS! I was signed up for the membership and two children in kids club. The last payment they were authorized to charge was May 5th, 2013. It is now OCTOBER and I'm still being charged. Every time I have to call/email the club and have them reverse the charges. Only problem is they've charged me 5 times and only reimbursed me for 3! Contact your credit card company, someone might say. Well, when I no longer authorized charges from LPAC, they used a different name of a gym in PORTLAND in order to get the charge to go through! I'm fed up and I warn anyone/everyone from taking there business here. Its a shame too because they had some really awesome trainers there! Too bad the administrative staff can't get their ducks in a row.
