Good facilities. Slightly overpriced since increase given the condition, but it has everything you would need. I weight lift, swim and use the sauna frequently. Occasionally, I will attend yoga or Pilates too. The staff are absolutely lovely.

This gym has a lot of great things going for it however it is desperately lacking in a few key areas. Overall: Would highly recommend a membership, gym and swimming + saunas are great. However maintenance is lacking, takes a long time to get anything fixed. So much so that almost all members have a silent agreement to not report issues so that the facilities wouldnt be out of service for however long. Pros: Great and friendly staff. Gym floor is great, lots of good quality machines and free weights. The space is made in a very thoughtful manner and you can get some amazing workouts in. They have a good sauna, steam room and swimming pool. You get excellent value for money especially the off peak membership. Free parking aswell. Community feels nice and welcoming, supportive and overall just pleasant. Cons: They got rid of the best calves machine I have ever tried and they did not replace it. So if you want to train Calves you have to macgyver yourself an exercise through the leg press or other. The seated leg curl machine is not the most comfortable machine anatomically, makes my knees feel weird. This is because the support bar is below the knee rather than locking in above the knee. Though I do know some people prefer this style, I am not one of them. The adjustment options available on the machines are alright but nothing crazy. However a lot of them are wheelchair friendly which is a really nice thing to see. The maintenance time to fix things from what I have seen is pretty bad. The showers are alright but the pressure and volume of water is much less than a good home shower. No complementary soaps, shampoos or conditioners. No trays for soaps, shampoos or conditioners within the showering cubicles. Just a single hook for a towel. The floor of the showering cubicles and saunas is a bit manky so I dont dare go in without crocs or sandals. The parking lot has security cameras but no security personnel from the looks of it. Unfortunately saw a BMW get lifted up and have its catalytic converter be stolen in a matter of moments. Though I think thats more of a reflection of the current state of crime within London and Carshalton rather than the space itself. Still I am extra mindful of where I park within the lot to discourage thieves from stealing my converter. They used to have automatic parking barriers which I would love to see reintroduced.

Gym area ok, not much different to before the refurb apart from the walls are now blue instead of orange. Showers spray rather than come out normally. They haven’t refurbished the locker room area, still has the old wooden style lockers and there’s no cubicles to change in, I don’t want people bits flapping around while trying to change. Some like abit of privacy! Change cubicles would have been a HUGE PLUS! Sauna and steam room are nice. No complaints there! Pool is exactly the same as it was before but the water is too hot for my liking, wish it was a lot fresher and cooler. So in summary, for what you pay for is bang average. Could of improve some areas.

1/5. I don't leave bad reviews lightly, but this needs saying. The sauna - which is listed as a key facility and factors into the membership price -has been out of service for nearly a year now. This follows a previous incident where a broken bench took approximately six months to repair. The result is a culture where members don't even bother raising maintenance issues, knowing the response time is measured in seasons rather than weeks. The gym equipment is acceptable, but you cannot charge for amenities you don't provide and expect people to stay quiet about it indefinitely. Would not recommend until this is meaningfully addressed.

The gym facilities are generally fine, but the sauna has been out of order for close to a year now and it's becoming hard to justify the membership fee. It's listed as a feature when you sign up, so you'd expect it to be maintained. To give you an idea of the pace of repairs here: when the sauna bench broke, it took around six months to replace — so most members don't even bother raising issues afraid it will be taken out of order for another half year. I'd love to keep recommending this place, but the gap between what's promised and what's delivered needs addressing.
