Pure Pilates - Gym in 00-415 Warszawa, Poland

A one-instructor Pilates studio, not a fitness gym

The listing says "Pure Fitness" and tags it like a sports complex, but the website (purepilates.pl) and every review make the real thing plain: this is an intimate Pilates studio in central Warsaw built entirely around one teacher - Basia, or Barbara. A perfect 5.0 across 22 ratings looks almost too clean, so let me explain what's behind it before you read too much into the number.

The strongest review, from January 2026, sells the method through detail rather than adjectives: "Basia pays great attention to the precision of movements, selects exercises based on my needs, and carefully monitors proper posture to avoid unnecessary tension in certain muscle groups... Thanks to this, I'm starting to feel better about myself, have greater self-awareness, and am motivated to take care of my posture every day." That's someone describing a specific coaching relationship, which is what I trust more than a bare five stars.

Where the voices agree

They agree it's personal and precise. An April 2024 review called Basia "a precise and meticulous teacher with attention to detail," who tailors every lesson. A March 2023 visitor on business booked a private session in English and found the studio "clean, bright and modern" with "great command of the language" - useful if you're a traveler, not a local. Even a powerlifter (October 2025) added Pilates for mobility and core work and called it, in their words, "a game changer" for performance under the bar. Different starting points, same verdict: careful, individualized coaching.

What a perfect 5.0 actually means here

This is where I'd slow you down. Twenty-two ratings at a flat 5.0 isn't suspicious - it's what a solo, appointment-based instructor with a self-selecting clientele tends to earn. People who don't click with one-on-one Pilates simply don't sign up, so the sample skews to fans. Run the math: a single one-star review would drop this to roughly 4.8. So the 5.0 is fragile by nature, not fraudulent - and it tells you "her students love her," which for a private studio is genuinely the point. Just don't compare it to a 500-review commercial gym as if they measure the same thing.

What's missing

No price. For a private Pilates studio that's a real gap, because sessions like these are usually billed per class or in packages, and not one review names a figure. No opening hours are listed in the record at all - you can't just show up, you book. No group-class schedule either, which fits a one-instructor operation. Want to train here? The only path is contacting Basia directly, so ask about rates and availability in the same message.

Who it's not for

Anyone wanting a self-service gym floor, machines, or drop-in workouts. This is coached, one-on-one (or small) Pilates on the reformer and mat, dependent on a single instructor's calendar. If you want anonymity and 24-hour access, this isn't remotely it.

For me, exercising with Basia at Pure Pilates is the best investment and the best time I've ever spent. Basia pays great attention to the precision of movements, selects exercises based on my needs, and carefully monitors proper posture to avoid unnecessary tension in certain muscle groups or to apply more force on the other side to maintain symmetry. Thanks to this, I'm starting to feel better about myself, have greater self-awareness, and am motivated to take care of my posture every day. The place itself is intimate and very aesthetically pleasing. I love coming here :))

I've been training with Basia for the past seven weeks, adding pilates as a complement to my powerlifting routine - and it's been a game changer. The sessions are thoughtfully structured, focusing on mobility, core strength, and body awareness, all of which directly support my performance under the bar.

Basia is a precise and meticulous teacher with attention to detail and a lot of respect for her students and their particular needs. With a big smile, a kind voice and her delicate hands, she makes you perform Pilates exercises you didn't thought you were capable of doing. Whilst her Pilates style is very "authentic" and "pure" (as the name of the studio says ;)), every lesson is different and tailored to your needs. Basia always asks questions and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to body work and movement in general. But most importantly, she manages to make Pilates fun. I strongly recommend!
