Strong Style Mma and Training Center

I've been training here off and on for years now and love this place. There are a wide variety of classes available, whether you're interested in fitness or combat sports, and the camaraderie is incredibly uplifting. I'm most often training BJJ when I make it in, and most appreciate that the coaches are skilled, knowledgeable, professional, and make the classes enjoyable and engaging for all skill levels. Every person there with whom I've become acquainted is there to better themselves in some way, and that is motivating to me even when I'm slacking in that department. All three of my kids also train here, also, and these classes have really helped with their development into strong, proud, and confident people. Great space, great classes, great coaches.

Coach Derek is an amazing boxing coach! I had a one-on-one session with him and really enjoyed the experience. He was patient, motivating, and made me feel comfortable while still pushing me to do my best. He explains techniques clearly and pays attention to detail, which helped me feel more confident during training. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping his clients improve and reach their goals. I truly couldn't be happier with Strong Style and the Jiu Jitsu program here. From day one, I felt welcomed, supported, and challenged in all the right ways. The coaching and culture are something special. Coach Emil and Coach Jamie have built an incredible environment that balances high-level training with a genuine team atmosphere. They care about their students, push you to improve, and have created a gym where everyone - from complete beginners to experienced competitors - feels like they belong. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Coach Mack. She has been absolutely incredible and has played a huge role in my competition journey. She has a women's only class that's phenomenal! She trains me specifically for competition, helps fine-tune my game, and has cornered me at every competition. Having a coach so invested in your growth and success makes all the difference, and her support means more than I can put into words. I drive an hour each way from Canton to train here, and that alone should say everything. There are closer gyms, but Strong Style, the people, and this program are worth every single mile. The coaching, teammates, atmosphere, and support system here are truly something special. If you're looking for a gym with amazing coaches, a strong team culture, and a Jiu Jitsu program that genuinely cares about helping people grow on and off the mats, Strong Style is it. I'm incredibly grateful to be part of this team.

I've been going to this gym just over a year and have really loved the environment here. The gym is always clean, the equipment and weights are well kept, and the staff and community are incredibly welcoming. I've been to a lot of gyms and can honestly say no one else compares. I took my first boxing fundamentals class with Ricky this year and had such a great experience. As someone completely new to boxing, it was the perfect introduction and made my first class feel a lot less intimidating. Would definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking for a welcoming environment, great equipment, and quality coaching!

I've really enjoyed training at Strong Style MMA. I've taken their athletics, boxing, and kickboxing classes, and every class has been fun, challenging, and welcoming. The coaches genuinely care and push you to improve while keeping the environment positive and motivating. I also did PT boxing sessions with Coach Paul Smith. He's patient, knowledgeable, and knows how to push you while still making the sessions enjoyable. I noticed a big improvement in both my technique and fitness from working with him. Overall, it's a great gym with a strong community and great energy. Whether you're a beginner or already experienced, I'd definitely recommend Strong Style MMA.
