Synergy Fitness Club - Baldwin

Update: The customer service has been great! Rob has been a constant pleasurable greeter! It's wonderful entering and leaving the gym and having someone smile. They should clone him! The classes are great too. I love taking classes with Val, Lloyd and Jen. They've added classes that begin at 5:45 am, which is sooooooooooo convenient. 😁 I'v been a member for 3 years but i don't work out much. They have recently made some upgrades including a new water fountain with filtered water (pretty nice). We had a price increase which makes sense. Nice gym but, poor customer service. If you want to bring a guest, forget about it. They are not accommodating so don't plan on inviting anyone.

Was finally time to find a new gym! Toured a few places but none were a good " fit ". A friend kept telling me how she loved Synergy so I checked them out. The minute I walked in I was greeted by Steve who showed me around. W/ in 5 minutes he knew exactly what I needed for me to reach my goals & even reassured me to try a spin class which I did & loved! By the time the tour was over I knew I found my new home. I go 3-4 Xs a week & am so glad I joined! Tons of equipment so no waiting ! It doesn't smell like a guy's locker room ( no offense men😜) & there's always someone in the floor cleaning! You want a great gym w/ very reasonable prices? You found it!! If you do.... ask for Steve & tell him Susie recommended him!!

We are member of Synergy at Long Beach every time that we bring a complaint or suggestion they told us that we need to direct them to Baldwin. Recently we got a letter increasing our annual fee to 49.99 per per person which we don't have a problem. What we have problem is that we would love for the management to visit the site and can see the conditions of the dance site. The floor is broken, every time that rain it rain inside, lights are broken. the weights are broken. I ask for a 20pound weight set for the use at the class and it was told to me as member that I can purchase and bring to the class. I told the manager that was not the correct answer. Also the exits door which are fire exits are broken. This is a big, huge safety issue that if this doesn't get fix I will need to report to the local authorities. The dance classes and the weight classes are all the time full of people, the teachers are fantastic. The Gym should spend a little $$$ in the room to fix it and work with the manager approach to people. I don't have a problem with him but I had seen him they way he approach the member when a complaint is brought to him.
