I've been a member at Five Star for years and they have consistently kept the gym up to date and maintained an inclusive environment. Hats off to Chelcie particularly - always on the gym floor, always positive vibes and always ensuring the tunes are on point. Great gym.
Great gym, always clean and tidy. Really good selection of machines and free weights, never have to wait for anything outside of peak hours. Very friendly staff, always helpful and happy to have a chat (especially Chelcie)
Terrible management. I joined this gym a while ago as a new local to the area. Honestly the equipment is lovely and most of the gym staff are so friendly - except for the manager. Whilst in the gym a few months back I witnessed the manager talk disgustingly to one of their colleagues, yelling at them and severely undermining them in front of everyone. The colleague looked extremely upset and uncomfortable, which then made many others uncomfortable due to the situation. I have also seen and heard of multiple times the manager has been rude, short or dismissive to paying customers. As nice as this gym is, I would not recommend it at all, purely due to management. As you can see, this isn’t the only review commenting on the managers behaviour.
I was banned from this gym after emailing management to request that staff not approach or initiate contact with me during my visits. The request was made in writing, professionally and respectfully, following interactions that made me uncomfortable. No reason was given for the ban at the time. I have since filed a Pre-Action Notice of Discrimination under the Equality Act 2010, a CCTV Subject Access Request under UK GDPR, and a formal request for the reason behind my removal. I attended this gym solely to invest in my health. I was removed for asking to be left alone.”

I welcome response but sharing specific details regarding my account is unlawful.] My partner and I joined this gym because it’s local and convenient, and the facilities themselves are perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the experience is undermined by consistently poor customer service particularly from the manager at reception. Every interaction felt cold and unnecessarily hostile. Simple queries were met with attitude rather than assistance. As a paying member, you shouldn’t feel like you’re inconveniencing staff for asking basic questions. A gym can have decent equipment, but if management drives away members through unprofessional behaviour, that speaks volumes. It’s disappointing to see a local business lose customers over something entirely avoidable. We chose to leave because of it. Windsor Leisure centre has a gorgeous new gym and the reception are nice people. The response that will be left on this review will likely show you everything you need to know about how their management behave.
