Virgin Active Cascades - Gym in Pietermaritzburg

Spoke to Vuyo Mvelase at the Cape Town branch. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave me such encouraging advice. My telephonic conversation with her was indeed a "wow" moment. Well done Vuyo on your excellent "client centricity." Awesome experience chatting to you. You definitely have your customer at the heart of your business... It would be good marketing if staff at local level could be trained and exude the same height in engaging with customers. Well done you truly an asset to Virgin Active. Continue being awesome.

I love it here! 🩷🩷 Rumble instructor Peggie Ngcobo oh my darling you’re such a humble soul I don’t even know what I’m doing in your class, but because of your warmth I don’t miss it 🤭 Keep it up my babe! To be fair all the instructors are warm and welcoming I only joined last month and I’m really enjoying it 🤗 My only problem was with Kauia staff 🤦🏽‍♀️. That guy there needs to change his rude I feel like sometimes we African people have attitude toward each other but with other races we treat them like gods. The lady on the till kept asking him to do my order but he was disrespectful and I also got charged for coming in late for my ride. Very frustrating! Koda ke sothini 🤷🏻‍♀️ One last thing I love that people mind their business it’s cool and all but aiboo let’s be friendly to each other You greet a person they’ll just look at you Nj aw guys ay suka nina.

My all time favorite gym ,no other gym can compare when it comes to their facilities, cleanliness as well as their friendly Staff. Hubby and I thoroughly enjoy our workouts every time. There is always enough parking and I feel safe as a woman. Convenient as well ,Cascades shopping centre is a short walk away so getting stuff for home is super convenient.

Virgin active had fantastic classes and overall facilities. However the onboarding process as a new member was tiresome. The information they had on me was not in a central database so I had to continuously fill forms and repeat myself to everyone dealing with me. By the time I was done it had not only taken a few days to process which delayed my use of the gym but made me drained. I expected more from virgin active based on others experiences.
