Best place to get back shape. Great staff team, polite and professional. Always on time which is insane achievement for Birmingham if you live here, you know it.

I had a very disappointing experience at Aston Sports Centre today. We arrived at 3:00 PM and were told to wait until 4:00 PM for the swimming pool. We waited patiently for a full hour, but when we went back at 4:00 PM, a different staff member told us the pool was now full and asked us to come back at 5:00 PM instead. This was extremely unprofessional and unfair. If the pool was likely to become full, we should have been informed from the beginning or our place should have been reserved after making us wait for an hour. We wasted our time for nothing because of poor communication between the staff. I expected much better customer service from Aston Sports Centre. I hope the management improves staff communication and treats customers with more respect.

I went swimming with my mate. When I arrived, I tried to shake hands with a staff member who looks Chinese, but he just told me to move away. Later, he said they didn’t take cash — but when I called him to check, he confirmed they do accept cash. Even so, I still had to ask someone to send money via bank transfer to get in. Once we were in the pool, we met another worker, who is white. He was really nice, polite, and respectful. I asked if we could dive in, and he said yes, so we started having fun. Then the same staff member who looks Chinese came over. Right after my friend dived, he kicked both of us out — I didn’t even dive myself, yet I was treated the same way. He went on to ban both of us from coming back. When I asked to see the CCTV footage to prove what really happened, he claimed there were no cameras on site. From the start, he was never friendly and seemed to only focus on us. He started shouting and threatened to call the police. I told him that was fine — I hadn’t done anything wrong, and I would take this all the way to court if I had to. When I refused to leave without a proper reason, he finally offered us a refund. I still haven’t received the money yet, though I hope it will come through on Monday. To be very clear: this is NOT about race, and I am not being racist. I am only describing exactly what happened and who I dealt with. The way we were treated left me really upset and ruined our whole visit. If you do plan to go here, please speak to someone else at reception — do not deal with this particular staff member.
