I'm 50 now so its a long time since I was in the Guinness swimming pool and that was thanks to my Daddy who was a plumber in Guinness. I remember my membership card, the locker keys which had a saftypin, the saloon doored changing rooms and running up and down the stairs to the canteen, which by all accounts is a gym now according to the photos. My Daddy would bring me and I would be so excited to go, my Daddy had these green ear plugs which looked like earphones, embarrassed at the time but now fantastic memories. It was always a great pool back then so it must be getting better with age :)
I loved the great large pool, sauna and steam room. The gym looks like it was recently renovated and the gym equipment looks new. It also has a great selection of classes. Surprisingly good value €32/month for the full memberships
Although this place is small it has everything you need to maintain a great body and get your workout done. From cardio to strength training and so on. I really love the sauna and steam room for relaxation. The place is kept clean and the workers are friendly as well.

Rude staff, not friendly, not helpful at all. Bringing my young child to swimming class weekly for years and they always take ages to let you in via the gate, if you have a buggy or kids with bikes they wont let you through the carpark gate, instead you have to get up and down 2 sets of awkward steps whilst holding 2 gates open with your back. Also while you wait for your kids class, sometimes with younger sibling in their buggies, they blast music super loud in the studio opposite the waiting area with the door wide open while NO ONE is using the studio and there is NO CLASS on. When asking about the loud music for no reason while a young child was asleep in a buggy right next to the room, I was told thats its a gym and the music is for the atmosphere and the place isnt for kids anyway. FYI the gym room is upstairs and has its own music which doesnt disturb anyone. Im talking about the waiting area and reception which is the part that hosts KIDS swimming lessons and parents and siblings waiting for them! Really shocked by how poorly some of the staff handles customers....
