It's a Pilates studio, and the reviews stop in 2019

Club Pilates West Omaha carries a perfect 5.0, but on only five ratings - and one of those five left no words at all. This isn't a barbell gym. Every review describes reformer, TRX, and Barre classes with instructors, so if you want to load a squat rack, you're in the wrong place.

The five reviews I can see are dated July 2018 through August 2019. Then nothing. That's a record that goes quiet right before 2020, and I'm not going to guess why - I'm just flagging the shape. A studio with recent members would usually have newer reviews, so call to confirm it's still running and on the current schedule.

Five ratings is a whisper, not a verdict. How much is one perfect score worth on five ratings? One single one-star review would drop this from 5.0 to about 4.2. So read the perfect number as "the few people who wrote were thrilled," not "statistically proven."

What members actually say

Founding members carry the strongest quotes. One, writing in July 2018, admitted skepticism: "I thought it was too passive, too easy... My first impression: this may just be too passive for me. That was 7 weeks ago! I LOVE this place!" That's a five-star review that names its own doubt before overturning it, which I trust more than pure praise. Another from July 2018 valued the variety: "I love that the classes involve not just the reformer but TRX and Barre."

Where they agree is the instructors. Multiple reviews name the owner running schedules and hiring, and an August 2019 member said her instructor was "incredibly knowledgeable... Watchful... Encouraging." A small studio lives or dies on its teachers, and every voice here credits them.

What you're buying

This is guided, low-impact, apparatus-based Pilates in class settings - reformer, TRX, Barre. Reviewers mention free intro classes and personalized difficulty: "you get to personalize them to suit your level." That's a selective sample, though. People who book boutique class memberships and stick around are pre-sorted to like it.

What's missing

No review states a price, and studios like this usually price per class pack or monthly. There are no current hours in the listing. And for a five-review page, the sharpest gap is this: there's nothing newer than 2019 - the freshest, most useful data point would be a review from this year, and it isn't here.

Who it's not for

Anyone who wants heavy free weights, machines, or a 24-hour open floor. If you already know you dislike class-based, instructor-led workouts, five glowing reviews about instructors won't change that.

FAQ

Is Club Pilates a gym?

Not in the barbell sense. Reviews describe reformer, TRX, and Barre classes led by instructors, which is boutique Pilates, not a machine-and-weights gym.

Can I try it before paying?

One reviewer mentions free introductory classes: "They have introductory classes that you can do for free." Confirm that offer is still current when you call, since the reviews are several years old.

Why so few reviews?

Only five ratings exist and the newest is from 2019. That's too small to prove anything, and one bad review would swing the average hard, so treat the 5.0 as a small, enthusiastic sample.

After relocating to the Omaha area and settling in, I looked for a place to workout. I cannot remember a time in my life when I didn't have a personal trainer or fitness membership. I stumbled upon Club Pilates West Omaha while they were building the place. I never considered Pilates though I have had friends (and a sister) who love it and in the past tried to coerce me into joining them in a class. I thought it was too passive, too easy, and that I wouldn't get much out of it. Getting in on a founding membership, I reluctantly joined and took my first intro class. My first impression: this may just be too passive for me. That was 7 weeks ago! I LOVE this place! The owners are wonderful! The other members are friendly and, as an outsider to Omaha, have helped me to feel welcomed. My body is responding and changing and I LOVE IT. I carry myself differently, always aware of posture, I feel emotionally better, and I sleep better than I have slept in YEARS. I no longer wake up with aches and pains as I had in the past, though there is a healthy feeling of muscle soreness post exercise. The workouts ARE challenging but you get to personalize them to suit your level. The trainers are ALL wonderful, each having different styles. They encourage and challenge us, with reminders of form, breath, and making the 50 minutes OUR time. This is one of the BEST decisions I've made for myself, and thank the owners, Angelia and Jay, for making me feel a part of this family.
